Have a pixel 3 and use an iPad Air 2.
iOS 14 is released and right on the spot I’m downloading it.
Pixel 3 8 days after 11 release and no update.
Screw this BS I’m getting an iPhone.

And third party launchers are not bad they are always working for me. Maybe you just don't like customizing your phone which thats you. Android and Iphone are for different types of people. Anonymous, 14 Sep 2020Day 6 after update released pixel 3 user, and still nothing. Absolutely disgusting. The update was not rolled out in India for all Pixel devices, and in select other countries for the Pixel 4a. Maybe you are in one of those regions. It will be rolled out eventually.

Well apparently not all Android skins have better stability. Especially RealmeUI. OneUI and Pixel Experience (or some other stock UIs) are still the most stable.
iOS and stock Android OSes are the most stable OS currently.

While Android is a good ecosystem, the latter depends on the skins each OEMs and how they will implement it. Some like OneUI and Pixel Experience are good, others like RealmeUI are not with a lot of bugs.
Harmony OS and iOS is significantly catching up.
And iOS will soon become a highly popular OS with lessened restrictions (compared to older builds) and improved user-friendliness and compatibility (now also allowing app sideloading, despite not all apps supported-needs iTunes or doesn't work)
Proud to be in a premium iOS ecosystem. A once crippled OS soon to be the benchmark, along with top Androids.

My son has a Pixel 2XL & received the Android 11 update 1 week ago and I have a Google Pixel 3A and I'm STILL using Android 10 Q!! What gives? I even bought my phone from the Google Store-NEW and I bought his Pixel 2 XL on Ebay... 🤔

Most of us are using phones from Samsung, sony, Lg and other Chinese manufactures. The features of android 11 are already available in these manufactures. So for android users , android updates are just numbers unless you are a pixel user.

Absolutely disgusting. Ha, at least you have a Pixel. I imagine those poor people, with LG, Nokia, Motorola or some Chinese brand phones, even some Samsung mid-range phones, that will receive this update probably around December 2020 - February 2021.
But, do not worry, Android fanboys will reply to this comment and say that software updates are not important, they are just fixing bugs and Android OS is perfect anyway (lol), they do not care about software and anyway the last time when they updated their software was last century (lol), etc.
Is the same like in real life, they are lying to themselves that everything is alright and do not want/need anything else, but deep down inside, they all know that Android OS is sh*t when it comes to stable and on time updates.
