Photographer knows more about sound than senior engineer from Sony Music .
The graph shows performance.
LUFS is just loudness.
Lines closer to zero more often mean better audio.
Xperia 1 ii and 1 have better graph.
Ubersonic, 29 Sep 2020Is the intro to this article a joke? How can you call a phablet "compact" xD It... more6.1 inches in 2020 is considered a regular size now, and could even be considered on the small side, and the tall 21:9 aspect ratio makes the phone less wide, and therefore easier to hold in your hand.
Fearghast, 29 Sep 2020If you pick your phone based on a score and not based on the review I feel seriously sorry for you.Do I buy phones based on reviews?
First things I check if phone has what I want.
My current phone was bashed by this site.
I am very satisfied with the device. 4 years already.
Could not have chosen better back then.

B) Not accurate as well because not only is the volume lower than competetion, competetion often sounds better without front facing speakers.
Isn't Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro still the king of mobile speakers? And those are not front facing ;)
Cons pointed for 5 . Almost all solved. But same score.
Of course, sites need to find more cons to avoid better scores than apple and samsung.
None wants to lose readers.
No audio jack.
No 4K@60fps video recording.
No night mode (though regular low-light photos are superb already).
We wish the ultra wide cam had autofocus.
Audio output quality is not on the level of competition.
No Wireless charging.
No Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) support even though the chipset supports it.

Its mentalities like this that have stopped Sony making a regular sized smartphone since the XZ2c :(
pan, 29 Sep 2020while i must agree generally about "wear and tear"... usb port seem to be strong, at... moreLOL. Well that's good your phones haven't had this issue so far, and true, the port looks fragile but generally is quite resilient, my years old phones have cracks by now but the micro USB works fine, I even tried to intentionally break it once, to see where it gives up, but surprisingly it held up against all the abuse so that's good to see that the port can withstand a lot of use, but that is, if it's a good quality one, I've seen devices that have the charge port issues and some of the recent phones by HMD, as someone mentioned even have this as a common problem in some of their phones. I don't really know what might have caused it but that makes me in a doubt regarding the life of the connector
AnonD-954200, 29 Sep 2020We'll never understand how Sony names their products
LolOnly you i think .
Theres only 3 series now
1 is the flagship
5 is the compact flagship
10 is the budget
samsung name their phone
would be more confusing
Anonymous, 29 Sep 2020Then again, some parts are super faulty (looking at you entire HMD Global line). Like my nokia... moreYes that's a point there, and I've heard about the charge port issues in Nokia phones as well, that's why I earlier said that wear and tear exists and even with care it's a lot more on certain gadgets than others which are better built. An Xperia phone I once bought had its screen cracked within weeks as it was so thin, while my other phone is still fine with all the unintentional mishandling I put it through
Boggy-Stefy, 29 Sep 2020Story time: I sold my car after 8 years, with about 150,000km. The guy that bought it from me... moreFirst of all, congratulations on your car, I'm glad it ran well over the years and still looks pristine, not many owners care about their wheels like you did, so good job there buddy. And yeah, with proper care things do last there entire life cycle without breaking down, but I think the same isn't the case with all products, my Motorola has its charge port loose over the years and while it still works, I'm not sure till when
Anonymous, 29 Sep 2020It's not about the convenience, it's about durability issues - I agree it's not... moreWireless charging not only costs money, but space as well.
I'd much rather have bigger battery than the option to charge it "wirelessly", unless it would be true wireless that wouldn't force me to put the phone on the stand and stop using it.
Also, I don't suspect any malfunction on the USB-C socket, but if you worry about it, you can get magnetic cable for cheap.
