Anonymous, 02 Jan 2022I'd pick the A52S over this, it's not much slower and the camera is on par it's... moreWhy? No telephoto on the A52s, and most importantly, no band 71 for LTE/5G. I would have, based on specs alone, preferred the Xiaomi 11 lite NE over the S20 FE 5g except that when I used a network checker app, I realized that whenever I'm out in the boonies, band 71 takes over. The last thing I want is to be stuck out somewhere without a stable signal. That means a whole lot more to me than some of the superficial stuff.

I was looking also at the A52s 5g, but did not know about the US 5g availability, and also which 52s model would be best for the US 5g network, as all are for other counties

I'd pick the A52S over this, it's not much slower and the camera is on par it's 100 Euro cheaper. Not sure why anyone would bother with the FE :/

I am considering bought S20FE for replacing Poco X3 in early 2022..
My biggest consideration is, does s20fe already support HDR in Netflix?
Currently using my phone to watch movies in Netflix.. thanks..

Currently this is by far the best value in Brasil (and possible all of SA). We are getting the Snapdragon version. I miss the 64mp camera from the S20+ but it is not worth the 30% premium in value (here) nor the downgrade to the Exymos sensor from the S20+.
My biggest annoyance is the lack of 3.5mm jack. But all flagships are killing it, unfortunately.
Baffles me how everyone here is complaining about the lack of glass in the back. Glass is heavier, insulates heat and breaks easily. I had a phone with glass back that got shattered from a measly 50cms drop. However, I don't get what Samsung did here to make the S20FE heavier than the S20+ despite being smaller and using plastic. The 186g weight of the S20+ is really nice to the hand. I really dislike these 220g+ phones.

I totally agree, only your review has front camera details, its front camera is bad, even phones under 200 has better camera then this, otherwise great phone

Specs wise S20 FE 5g has better features than A52s, however the major drawback that I see is the overheating issue with S20 FE 5g and the battery drain issue. S20 Fe 5g can heat up even when you are browsing or using YouTube etc. while A52S can handle it better than S20Fe 5g. Please let me know if others have similar or alternating opinions.

Same situation here. Pondering between Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G 8/256 vs Samsung Galaxy A52S 5G 8/256. Almost the same price currently in my country. Is the A52S 5G camera significantly better than the S20 FE 5G? Will be using it mainly for Retro Gaming and occasional Android Gaming.

In general it's not a great phone:
1-Taking photos with a flash is totally crap.
2-fingerprint is totally useless and makes you pissed off so that you'll turn it off.
3-don't but the superfast charger because while charging the touches on the screen don't work correctly.
4-GPS freaks out many times while using Google maps
5-no jack.
