-Huawei is now using a flagship level display with great colour accuracy and 800n... moreI wonder why they put cortex A77 cores instead of cortex A78 cores.
A78 would have driven the cpu performance even higher.
Kriegsherr, 23 Oct 2020sure sure. just stop defending a false cause. let it go. theme is M40 review and i defend nothing here, maybe you should stop to be offended by Huawei phone release ?
Kriegsherr, 23 Oct 2020sure sure. just stop defending a false cause. let it go. Princess Elsa. I haven't used facebook in ten years. It was toxic when I left it and it's even more toxic now.
MadMel, 23 Oct 2020your 2 ch. friends are 0.000000000000000001% of population ... let it go , seriously.sure sure.
just stop defending a false cause. let it go.
Side load GMS is not stable. Trust me it not worth it if you need GMS. Basically it's not worth it outside China.
It's not surprising it sale well in China. It's price is significantly lower than global. How much? Half...

I have many friends/colleagues who are Chinese and many of them use VPN in china just to use facebook. let them open it and we see how Chinese people rush to open account on facebook/insta.
shab3y, 23 Oct 2020I understand your thoughts, but I must say, Trump is right about Huawei. Every Chinese company... moreI wouldn't believe what Trump has to say. If they're not straight out lies, it's stuff he just made up on the spot. Huawei is being used as leverage for his dumb trade war with China. Nothing more nothing less.
Pouyou , 23 Oct 2020I'm using huawei mate 20 Pro right now. I need the 40 Pro. How much is it? stupidly expensive - grand
The curved screen looks great, but is it possible to get a screen protector for it?
Kriegsherr, 23 Oct 2020didnt CCP make hypocratic decision? all of google's service is banned in whole China but ... moreNobody would've had any problem if they just kicked Huawei out of their own territory. After all that's what China does to Google, FB etc. and this kind of retaliation from US would be perfectly reasonable.
The difference, however, is that US government started to butt in with other countries' businesses, pressured them to get rid of them from 5G market and banned thousands of companies across the world from doing business with Huawei by threatening them that they would face sanctions if they wouldn't obey US' orders. So no, those two matters are not even close to being comparable.
The huge pill is a big turn off. Forget no GMS - it's not an issue to people who know there's more than 1 app for each service (and there are still at least 2 ways to sideload without rooting). I am a fan of curved screens (using a OnePlus 7 Pro and love the display). The camera assembly looks great, much better than those monster islands from Samsung. Just wish it didn't have that huge pill taking up half the notification bar. Probably won't come to the UK either.
Kriegsherr, 23 Oct 2020didnt CCP make hypocratic decision? all of google's service is banned in whole China but ... morenobody cares for google or facebook in China as they use their own apps, Apple is doing business freely there and you guys should stop spamming every Huawei article with google nonsense, old news, just let it go ...
Kriegsherr, 23 Oct 2020didnt CCP make hypocratic decision? all of google's service is banned in whole China but ... moreGoogle exited the China market because, unlike Apple, they didn't want to comply with local laws. They were banned as a result. Huawei was banned even though they complied with US laws and on spurious claims of being a national security risk. There is a difference and it's not China that's the bad actor.
Lee, 23 Oct 2020That is last series Huawei brand smartphone can buy in before their accessories stock level ar... moreI understand your thoughts, but I must say, Trump is right about Huawei. Every Chinese company must cooperate (it's even a law) with the government and the CCP and the easiest way to spy on ppl is to go the smartphone front. I don't say that the phones are bad (that one is excellent) but can you trust a chinese company in terms of privacy? IMHO, I don't trust Huawei or any Chinese company if we talk privacy and security.
Kriegsherr, 23 Oct 2020didnt CCP make hypocratic decision? all of google's service is banned in whole China but ... moreIt was pretty normal when us banned huawei in their country because they have the right to do so since china also banned some of their companies but it is ridiculous right now us forced its allies to also ban huawei and not only that but also stopped a lot of companies from doing business with huawei
Did china do that ? No
For camera test, why gsmarena didn't comparing with mi 10 ultra as previous champion for image quality on dxo mark?
Asbk, 23 Oct 2020Seriously?
I thought google has block every other way to install gms on any huawei phone?Yesterday, XDA even provide an apk file that can easily sideload GMS with less hassle.
Weird, introduced right after Mate 40 announced. Seems like Huawei itself get involved into it (deeply covered), to make people know that there are still alternative way to get GMS, in order to get their phone sold.
Have been looking forward to the release of this to replace my Mate 20 Pro. That was until two weeks ago when the glass over the camera lens broke on my device. The experience of dealing with Huawei's approved repair 'agent' has been shocking. I suspect they are inundated with too many phone repairs - they diagnosed the fault correctly, charged me £148 for the repair but then just sent the phone back untouched claiming it was "beyond economic repair". It's back with them now, they've issued the same quotation to repair it & no mention of beyond economic repair. These 3rd party repair company's are utterly useless when it comes to needing repairs and wholly inappropriate for £1000+ handsets. Huawei - get a grip of this and bring handset repairs in-house.
