Compared to the 11 it looks like it’s better when 4g is used but worse with 5g enabled. Likelihood is gsmarena had the phone in 5g auto as that is how the phone is set by default

Regular 11 is still using LCD, which is usually less efficient than OLED panel. The 12 loses against the 11 Pro, but when MrWhoseTheBoss tried all phones on Antutu, I was surprised that the 12 had a big performance gap despite all phones become warm and required restart.

Anonymous, 29 Oct 2020Nexus have fake colours with too much contrast like Pixel Nexus 6P tend to make shadows dark but at least didn't crush black like Pixels.

From what I have seen from other battery tests (for example, Mrwhosetheboss's battery test on YouTube), the iPhone 12's battery performs better than iPhone 11's when only 4G is enabled.

I typically have 17 hour days and the phone can do it without needing charging throughout the day. If I were to use it a lot during the day I reckon I could kill it but my last phone required a top up every day after about 14 hours so I see this as quite good

We need to convince people, in some way or another, to stop buying iphones.
Next year Harmony OS comes around and I'll be switching to a Mate 40 Pro. Hopefully Harmony might incentivize some iphone users as well. And this needs to continue until Apple wakes up and opens up the platform to everyone, allowing it to communicate with other platforms well and also stop the anti-repair crap they're pulling off for years.

Just some opinions based on GsmA's review (and from other users/reviews)...
Very good phone overall, but definitely not the best phone out there.
It's impressive how Apple makes the phone lightweight while making it one of the most rugged phones on the market, with 6m water depth resistance. Camera is quite good, iOS has come a long way, FaceID is still the market-leader.
What hurts is the battery life of course. The performance is decent. It's the fastest in terms of system performance, but not sustained performance. Watch out for thermal throttling thanks to weak cooling, small build, and thick chassis (avoid iPhone 12 mini for heavy gaming at all costs). I assume sustained performance is only equal to Kirin 9000 and SD865+, so behind (most) SD875 phones. The notch is still huge too.
I will definitely try the iPhone out in the store, but I don't think I'll buy the regular 12 after all. Looking forward to 12 Pro Max.

I don't understand what the problem is with chargers. I hope they enforce that NOTHING can be bundled.
Do I RELLY need 10 chargers and 10 earbuds lying around? I do not. Nobody does. Buy them separately if you do.

I thought about buying the iphone 12 mini, but man coming from a 90hz phone to a 60hz phone will be tough. Plus it makes me how apple goes on about the planet and all that stuff but still uses their own power adapter, amagian all the people switching to apple and finding out that all of their cables are useless.
