Why, well the budget android space is where all the real value is nowadays anyway, and....well how should I put this....what is the best android anyway?
This is where I sit back put my feet up and watch all the android crowd now turn on each other :)
Buy iphone se 1st gen for 80usd. buy apple watch. buy best android device, have best of both worlds. iphone not worth it
BiyoBiyo JunJun, 04 Nov 2020Mobile gamers aren't real gamers. they just gamer wannabe Why would someone have to be real gamers? What is a real gamer buy the way?
you, 05 Nov 2020you both have the same name how do you know it's him and not youLook at their location tags.
"scq" belongs to the same anonymous guy who keeps defending iPhhone in every thread.

IPhone is for the masses, fold 2 is for people with pure class.

MrHong, 04 Nov 2020I have heard a few SD865 Android phones able to render the game smoothly at maximum settings, ... moreAt maximum settings? hmmmm maybe for some minutes IDK.
I mean, some phones (like 1+s) do have a higher temperature threshold before throttling, but that game is seriously demanding, especially at 60fps.
Good phone, but at $1600 here, I'd rather add $400 more and get a Galaxy Fold 2, with much more features
MrHong, 05 Nov 2020You're right. iPhone does thermal throttle a lot but that doesn't mean it has piss p... moreYou were in every thread bashing Exynos when they suffered thermal throttling on s20 series. Why didn't you make excuses that Samsung was running on buggy software?
IOS 14.2 will not fix this thermal throttling mess.
The iPhone 12 series hype was destroyed after the leaks and further destroyed by the product itself. People are more interested in Snapdragon 875 based devices now which will arrive in a couple of months.
There's literally no innovation to be found in the Apple ecosystem.

Xiaomi and Huawei don't do hdr mode on default.
Try clicking that grass, snail picture with Huawei and others with hdr mode on, you'll get same results as iPhones and pixel with grass and other things rendered properly.

The fact that they had to employ night mode as default tells you how good the camera is.
Battery life could be better but other than that, an awesome overpriced phone. My pick would probably be Pro Max just for that sweet battery life.
kalel, 05 Nov 2020Where did your friend purchase the iPhone 12 pro max as it's not released yet???
Some pe... moreiPhone 12 Pro may be an inferior device compared to several competing flagships but that does not mean iPhone does not have any advantages. But the i12 Pro just sits in a tough spot compared to i12 and i12 Pro Max.
Pro Max hasn't been released yet and anything can be inside the Pro Max. I never expect stingy Apple to install a vapor chamber in the i12 Pro Max but it can be there.
Prosumer Market, 05 Nov 2020Except that the 12 Pro Max hasn't been shipped yet. Oopsie.
Liar liar, pants on fire. You're right. iPhone does thermal throttle a lot but that doesn't mean it has piss poor gaming performance though definitely far from best.
PUBG Mobile in my iPhone 11 at HDR Extreme (60fps) does not cause any performance drops, phone only gets a little warm after 2 matches (Erangel payload). This is running at iOS 14.1 with known buggy issues that drops performance.

Anonymous, 04 Nov 2020@GSMARENA: These two statements about video quality are a bit confusing. Could you clarify mor... moreHey, yes I can clarify:
The iPhone is usually set to Most Compatible file transfer. And when you transfer the Dolby Vision videos, they are converted into regular ones on the go. That's why you can capture in Dolby Vision and not worry about compatibilty - you can get the best of both worlds this way.
But if you choose to tranfer original files - Dolby Vision in this case - they aren't converted and kept as HDR instead. As such - they will look worse on non-Dolby TVs/monitors.
Thanks to the DV data being outside of the video stream, the iPhone can convert your file to regular one while copying it via the USB cable or sharing it via Facebook/Whatsapp on the go. And you will still have the DV footage, and every non-DV viewer will be able to enjoy your video.
Hope this helps! :)
