IPhone zoom is laughable compared to the flexible 2x and 5x options with premium quality images in all conditions.
Video recording on Mi 10 ultra is also better especially in low light as iPhone can only deliver noisy output. Good dynamic range in videos but noisy output compared to big boy sensors on Android. Stabilization on Mi 10 ultra is also better as I have checked in online reviews despite iPhone having sensor shift stabilization.
Mi 10 ultra widest FOV for Ultrawide along with autofocus making it do double duties as a macro camera. IPhone Ultrawide doesn't even have autofocus. They do deep fusion trick to produce passable images from Ultrawide.
No fake looking background blur like iPhone on Mi 10 ultra. Smooth natural detailed images with best dynamic range.
Main sensor doesn't even need night mode like iPhone.
Best in class images only rivaled by the Huawei flagships.
Only area where iPhone camera beats the MI 10 ultra is in the front camera department.

Go and check iPhone 12 series review on this site.
They recommended to leave night mode on (which is automatically activated on iPhone in low light situations) for Ultrawide and telephoto cameras.
And turning off night mode in low light will give you less sharper, more noisy images from Main sensor, so they recommend it to leave that on as well.
People don't want to downgrade to 3rd grade camera hardware like on the iPhone (3rd grade hardware when compared to other flagships).
Besides, you don't even own an iPhone, What a Joke!

And when did GSMA advise to keep on night mode at all times? It said here:

And before you say this is night mode quality, read above:

Unless videos in this comparo are labeled wrong Xperia 1II with Samsung delivers the best video. Unless GSMA did some more internal videos I don't understand all the praise iPhone 12 Pro gets over the others.

That is just advertising like iPhone telling their users they have 5x optical zoom when in reality, it is nothing but 2.5x optical zoom (which is so year 2017).
Just like Apple advertising Magsafe, yet it isn't safe with those weak magnets or the Sapphire on camera lens which was exposed to be regular glass.
The 5x, 10x zoom are perfect and work without problems.

I'm sure it's a very decent camera experience and all, but it's a device I have precisely zero interest in.
And yes your opinion is just that, So when you prattle on about how superior something is, I'll take it as only your biased opinion and nothing more.
As for this site, it's not making that same claim, and I continue to be very sceptical of the whole DXOmark thing,

And the jury is still out the the detrimental effects of 'ultra fast charging' over time (android fans are the very epitome of beta testers here).
High refresh rate, yeah will give you that one, am happy to wait for it though, it's neither here nor there for me to be honest.
And I missed widgets just so much from my android days, that I haven't bothered adding any to my home screen on my 12 Pro.

The zoom implementations, high refresh rate implementations, ultra fast charging implementations and many other things are already perfect and actually offers a ton of benefits.
We aren't beta testers, you guys are the ones getting these things late. Some of them you'll get a decade late like widgets.
Apple's goal of maximum profits at the cost of giving consumers outdated hardware and software is clear. They even removed the charger inside the box this year. One doesn't need to be an expert to see through these things.
Not all of us are lame enough to be paying a premium for outdated tech inside.

I said in an earlier post that the fanboys wouldn't be able to help themselves in doing just this, and it's because they don't know any better.
He's now referring to DXOmark, a site who's relevance and validity has been questioned for years at this point. It's always been my experience that fanboys tend to waffle on incessantly about DXOmark when they're favourite brand/ device is number 1, and then pretend they don't exist when that is not the case.
The takeaway from this article is your not really going to wrong with any of these devices, if camera quality is your main concern. Anyone trying to convince you otherwise, either that their own opinion is the correct one, or that you should follow their own biases, is the one with the problem.......

Who knows why they haven't tackled distance zooming yet, you sure as hell don't. When they do do it, it'll likely be done well enough.

Haha you are rationalizing other companies giving 5x-10x optical zoom for spying?
Apple probably hasn't entered long zoom range space yet simply coz they believe in getting away by giving the least amount of useful features to consumers with the sole intention of making maximum profits.

You want to talk about gimmicks, well lets take a look at the android space shall we:
Useless extra camera's - like the pointless 'depth' monochrome' and 'macro's' that might as well just be stickers on the back of the device, just so a claim of multiple cameras can be made.
Curved screens - because i want to view all my content side on apparently.....
TOF cameras - sorry but these things do absolutely nothing on any of the droids that have them.
Air gestures - because not touching your device is apparently a thing.....
space zooms - because being able to take a fuzzy undefinable image of the coast of Australia all the way from India is what we all want it seems.
4k screens - because I want to hold my device 2mm away from my eyes whenever I use it.
Bucket loads of un-needed RAM - I get it, android could be more efficient yes, but 16gb of RAM!! sorry by the time that amount is actually required, the device will be well out of the software support cycle needed to optimise for it.
These are just a small number of the 'gimmicks' droids have in the past or do now feature, android is the very home of 'gimmicks' after all.
The telephoto lens on the 12 pro and Max (especially the Max) are less about being able to spy on people from a different time zone, and are more aimed at optimising for portrait photography. Apple haven't really looked at distance zooming yet.
