You are just salty that two Chinese manufacturers (Huawei & Xiaomi) have produced phones that are in the top 3 cameras in the market.

Did you know that the 1/2.55" sensor(the ol... moreI am comparing telephoto lens. The 2x telephoto/Potrait sensor is as big as iPhones main sensor. IPhone telephoto is way smaller 1/3.4" sensor. Has inferior PDAF, no dual pixel AF.
You are bragging about f1.6 with 1/2.55" sensor (which is the main sensor)
Mi 10 ultra has 1/1.3" as main sensor which is way bigger and lets in a lot more light than the old sensor used on iPhone 12 pro.
Gsmarena recommended to keep night mode on at all times as image quality sharply detoriates. That's just physics, you can't make a small sensor perform like big sensor.

Anonymous, 29 Nov 2020The sky is never totally black in the city because of light pollution.did i say "totally" black somewhere? i clearly recall i used "almost" black, as the degree of "blackness" of the sky is different in the urban, suburban, countryside... not to mention that, when in open field or in mountains, where having a large azimuth, the colour / degree of blackness changes, as you turn around, upon the existence of local sources of light (cities, villages, or something else). you, and the others with the same problem of the "black sky is not black", more than "let's try it" did not take a lot night pictures out in the open, or in the city for that matter..., didn't you?

In isolation, all high-end phones perform well, if not excellent. how did you confirm at all that its best, just bcoz you own a phone. with that logic i can say all my phones are great and will make to top 3.
do you have any evidence to backup your claims? Ironically you call me that i depend on reviews and you are doing the same. Giving an opinion, of a review, that you think is correct.

Moto edge+, asus zenfone 7 pro and xiaomi mi 10 ultra are more interesting for me. I thougt they have better camera but they are so underrated, maybe because of limited market availability

Did you know that the 1/2.55" sensor(the older main sensor) has a f/1.6 aperture? The xiaomi zoom sensor has a f/2.0 aperture. Good job totally missing out on that.

Infact it is about the same size as the one used on iPhone 12 pro main sensor complete with dual pixel AF.
Best 2x optical zoom photos on the market, day or night.
The quality is superb unlike on iPhones which rely on night mode at all times yet fails to match up in the image quality department.
Don't even get me started on the 5x optical zoom behind another big imx 586 sensor that just embarrasses the iPhone's 2.5x optical zoom gimmick.

On a site note, a bit dissapoint vanilla Mate 40 might not launch in my country (just Pro version, still havent launch). Been thinking of just grabbing vanilla P40. Love the smaller footprint along with flagship worthy camera. Its only $560 now.

b. Please go ahead and tell me which phone resolves details on the balcony and branches of the trees in front of the building (and in the windows reflection) the most accurately then.
c. Note and Mate resolve the details the best in the blue van. iPhone smudges out some of the lines in the headlight and letters on the mask package whereas Xperia fares poorly due to lens distortion. As for the plate that you mentioned, try to count the number of stars on the left side of the number and tell me on which phones you're able to do so.
