I'm not agree either about that guy ask to put Mi 10 Ultra for comparison (availability, different timing flagship) but its image quality for sure damn good.

Colors can easily corrected using HSL management. And it all depends on u on how its gonna be. Your excuse pretty much sums up youre not too keen about photography world.
Smudgy details (cannot recover) over slight color shift (can easily recover). Yeah sure, stick with your opinion. I wonder how your photography style looks like.

- Unless u have a problem with your eye, sky color on the snail photo looks exactly the same on all 4 phones. So according to u, all phones took out of ordinary sky color lol.
Seems to me u doesnt even care to examine the words I'm saying previously. Nice diversion about the image details taken.

Never said Mi 10 ultra is selling more than iPhone.
But it does offer premium all round experience unlike the 3rd grade hardware of iPhone 12 pro Max like 2.5x zoom, smaller 1/1.7" sensor, lack of dedicated Potrait lens, 3rd grade 20W charging, 3rd grade 60hz refresh rate, no charger inside the box, etc.

It's simply a camera comparison which should have included the best camera smartphones of the year. Mi 10 ultra is certainly right up there in top 3.
By your global availability logic, the Xperia 1 II shouldn't be in the list as it has poor availability across the globe.
It also was made available 5 months after launch to consumers.

He simply refuses to accept that hdr settings can be tweaked and continues to make a blanket statement about hdr producing artificial photos.
Doesn't even have a Sony phone yet he defends them blindly in every thread.

My OP8 pro produces far from waxy or plastic look photos. Same for Oppo and Vivo.
Realme may have that problem since they never bothered to use a flagship camera sensor.
Maybe you need to stop reading reviews blindly and start actually using these phones before judging quality. It's clear that you have not tested these flagship sensors from 2020 and just blindly making assumptions on photo quality based on the budget offerings from these companies.

Good luck with that cutout blur of the ... moreYes the iPhone Potrait mode makes the images look fake because of that unnatural blur.
Sure they might do a decent job of isolating the subject and fewer artifacts around hair and other things, but I am referring to the overall image here, the artificial blur makes it look like someone copy pasted the person in that image.
Android phones with big sensors under 1/1.4" don't need Potrait mode, just point and shoot and we get natural background blur which looks great and natural.

The Mate 40 Pro 67mm digital zoom is even more impressive when you consider that the camera is equivalent to 23mm. But I think that Apple could have achieved more with the 65mm camera. Theoretically a 23.1mm camera would need 95 megapixels in order to compete with 12.2 megapixels 64.5mm.

Surprising how good the Mate 40 Pro is at 2.5x. It seems that they are able to use the 50 megapixels of the Quad Bayer sensor without causing the typical artifacts. Even the edges look good. Samsung even doesn't try to use the 108 megapixel resolution and simply uses a crop of a 12 megapixel pixel binning result.
Actually the Huawei Honor View 20's Ultra Clarity mode already delivered the best Quad Bayer high resolution sharpness, but for some time Huawei neglected the Ultra Clarity Mode and Huawei's digital zoom still didn't work very well. Now the results seem to be better, though they look a bit artificial.

why dont y... moreDude, I'm not talking about the timing between the building photos, of course it is likely around the same timing. What I meant are the sky color between the building & the snail photos, only Mate 40 looks consistent. If the snail photos takens minutes away from the building, means that others got inconsistent sky color. Correct me if I'm wrong.
We also dont know wether on Huawei taken using Master AI or not (Master AI often boost sky color). Even if the color science slightly wrong, I would have choose the one with much nicer detail. Colors can easily corrected using HSL management, whereas u cant bring details when its not there in the first place. On my every final images, pics always edited anyway.
There is differences between theory conspiracies & opinion based on facts on what user needed the most.

why dont you just look at the time on the clock ( in the pics above snail photo) + plus the cars in parking lot.
You say that its all "staged" to ensure Huawei is compelled to shoot the sky with purple tint??
Seriously, doesn't matter how much detail the pic has if the basics are wrong. and yes apply your logic and change the methods, every phone will produce a different result than what you see. but that's not what comparison is for, correct?

All 1/2.3" compact cameras suffer from soft corner sharpness and mushy details, simply because of their tiny sensors and poor quality of the zoom lens (compared to prime lens on smartphones). What's more, your Sony camera is using 20 MP on such a tiny sensor. Can't imagine the noise levels.

I'm waiting for a flagship that has it all...no one did it yet: a perfect main sensor, a perfect ultrawide, a perfect telephoto with incredible optical zoom and a proper macro sensor as i love macro shots.
Normally they do a good main sensor but a average telephoto...or a good wide but a garbage macro sensor etc if they are asking us almost 1500 for a phone why can't they put top of the line sensors in all? 5mpx macro sensors...really?....
