You say there are lots of midrange phones but you keep comparing this phone to high end $1000+ flagships (steel frame, oled, haptics, etc.) And also phones these days can't simply be divided into two separate "flagship" or "mid-range" class anymore. Every single phone is made for a specific market with specific customer type. Not everyone in everyplace neither need nor can afford to pay $1000+ for some fancy tiny details.

Redmi note series offers an amazing value for money. Just use a custom ROM and you will experience a One plus/pixel phone experience.

Using it in Bangladesh, bought it at July 2020. the major issue I am facing is very often it's earpiece goes off, I cannot hear in the phone calls, then I have to restart the phone. Otherwise its a good phone for day to day use, I don't play heavy games, just social networking, watching videos, some essential apps, all works fine. Its a bit heavy and large phone, one cannot imagine to use it without cover, very much slippery......

Soo one thing that i didn't see in your review was whenever i recieve a call or any sort of online calling the phone turns off instantly and i can't seem to be able to turn it on to maybe put it on speaker or check something else or even to hang up and that frustrates me soo much and on top of that when the call ends sometimes the phone even turns off. Everything else that you complained about in your review is non existent on my phone but this, this just ruins the hole experience. I hope you can see this and look deeply upon this problem. Cheers!

Actually, it's not that the touch doesn't register and more of that they changed the gesture command from a simple swipe up into a swipe up then left or fight. It was really annoying at first cause I thought my touch didn't register but after rereading from the full screen and several tries, I finally got used to the new gesture command.
