I am surprised that no one complains about how bad photos all the cameras take on this phone due to terrible image processing compared to other Xiaomi phones even with the same specs and sensors or even with older specs and sensors. My Redmi Note 6 Pro was far better. I know this is easily solved by using any gcam but i find it very unfair that other phones have better algorithms just because they are released 1 month after. Seems that updates never happen on this matter. Just some stupid changes on the UI and never on the performance or quality. I mean i can't believe that in 2020 with such smartphone the photos come out so soft and blurry like they were taken years ago. It's clearly a bug for me especially with HDR enabled but it will never be fixed. I will never buy again a Redmi phone or even any Xiaomi phone. I'm tired of installing extra apps just to avoid their issues.

The only potential issues i might face is absence of a proper front torch led... Due to which low light selfie is not very good. Also it lags often after very heavy gaming. I have been using this phone for over a month now.

I have redmi note 9 pro non max variant yes in display is true very dim even at the peak of the brightness but in the performance is very good so very smooth for me

Based on my experience so far, it's a great phone for the price. I definitely feel like I got value for money with the Redmi Note 9. This review is misleading and awfully put together. The only tragedy here is that the author chose to compare with flagship phones which cost so much more.

Anyway, I am using Note 9 Pro Max (128GB/8GB) since 3 months and it is awesome phone for this price range.
Sometimes, if change themes very often or apply unsupported theme, the phone acts weird; then I change the theme which is supporting MIUI 12 and it becomes fine.
Awesome battery and fast charging, great Cameras (front and back), Dual Sim + Dedicated SDCard slot, Snapdragon processor and all other specs are great for this price range. Do not compare it with flagship phones, as this is mid-range phone.

Why are they comparing a mid range phone to an high end flagship. Doesn't make sense. If you want to give a decent review try comparing it with other devices in the same range. That's what will actually help someone who is buying this. This is common sense. (As mentioned in he posting rules.)

The camera dust issue hasn't been discussed. It was the main reason that people hesitate to go for redmi 9 series.
