Had this a few days now, I was going to wait and see what other phones come out but this ticks all my boxes and with the samsung promotion it helped make my choice. I usually buy sim free but got this through a network provider.
Nice in the hand, one handed use was a must, my old phone forced me to stretch my hand open further than felt natural. I also did not want a glass back, and will likely add a slim case to it as well. I like the idea of higher quality plastic backs or leather backs like what oppo are using. Camera is good, was out taking photos in almost pitch black handheld and whilst not up to proper camera standards are very useable for snapshots. Good results in the daylight too.
Wifi hotspot is blazing fast compared to my old phone. this supports 5ghz and wifi6 so getting proper speeds now through to my laptop. Only concern I have at the moment is maybe the battery size / life. Wish for a bit bigger but the S21+ is too large a phone for the upgraded battery and didnt want glass back either.
Overall very happy with it so far but would not have bought it sim free for so big of an upfront cost.
Bought Galaxy s21 5g yesterday now i dont want iron box in home getting hot like anything simply wasted 75000₹
Hard pass. Battery life not as good as it should be, and uses PWM for dimming. Size of the phone is perfect, but removing the SDCard again? Come on.
If you already own the S20 and you're thinking about upgrading to the S21 do not do it!! You will lose 4 gigabytes of RAM you will lose your SD card which is extra storage for your phone unlike iPhone 🤔 Why!! You will also lose your screen resolution it only is capable of 1080p now the Samsung S20 does 4K & Beyond Also it feels much cheaper plastic back?? Also the camera protrudes from the back of the phone on the corner so if you drop it you'll damage the camera way easier the glass over the camera I would advise anyone to stay away from the S21 and just stick with the s20 it's a far better phone you can get it for the same price cuz it's a year old now.
**Really** hard to justify getting this when the s20 FE is 99% the phone, but with a bigger display and cheaper price tag. Sure the processor isn't on quite the same level, but the difference is probably unnoticeable to the vast majority of users.
its annoying that samsung put autofocus ultra wide camera only in S21 Ultra. While I can understand skipping persicope lens, there is no reason to skip auto focus in other models. I hope Samsung fixes the differences in the cameras between these models. I have S10 which has the same cameras as S10 plus(of course there were no ultra back then).
Based on what i hear Exynos aint so bad. Benchmarks are mostly of no value in day 2 day usage. Just look at how it behaves in day 2 day usage. I also wish Samsung did not follow Apple in some bad choices (no heaphone port and now removed microsd/power brick).
Jay, 26 Jan 2021In call long heat , surfing heatr u an s21 user?
Cosmin, 26 Jan 2021I see a lot of contradictory information and thoughts. I have bought the S21 vanilla and I ... moreThanks for the feedback, Cosmin, that's fair. Looks like you don't miss SD card, 3.5 jack and high res as well. Do you care about the camera quality, did you use it?
I see a lot of contradictory information and thoughts.
I have bought the S21 vanilla and I like it. With Exynos 2100 on my second charge I had 6h SOT.
I can understand that if you are coming from an S20/S10 it does not worth the change, except the CPU, which is something different.
I was an 100% oneplus fan and totally hated samsung/iphone. Now locking at the prices, there is no big change.
I wanted something small, close to my old good friend oneplus 3 since 2016, which still runs, but lag started to appear.
In the last 3 months I bought and returned back the following phones, OP 7T, OP8, OP8T and S20 5G. All OP phones were heavy and too big, performance very good. S20 was OK, except curved display which I do not like.
So in the end S21 covered everything. I now that is not the best, or the cheapest, but kick almost the checks.
The only negative points from my side, limited to 8GB, and hard to step away from some OP gestures and especially oxygen OS.
AnonD-923722, 26 Jan 2021There's nothing wrong with an plastic phone. It just has bad reputation, and reputation ... moreHonestly for the price I am against plastic back phones but why are you using a puny video like this to support your claims? Besides even if glass dissipates heat better (unless the plastic back is very thin) and are more rigid and does not bend(but breakable), it’s not like plastic has no advantages. You may even pry open the plastic back with your fingernails, it is also lighter and cheaper to replace.
JDK, 25 Jan 2021I know about that. I'm assuming you changed your name because some guy called you asia... moreYeah many people had assumed my ethnicity because of the random nickname I set for this website, but I didn't mind too much about it until one guy said some tasteless "joke" to me and proceeded to assume that I didn't find it funny because Asians have different taste for humour or that kind of stuffs.
Anonymous, 25 Jan 2021You might not be Asian but you stay in Asia right? ? No I don't.
There's nothing wrong with an plastic phone. It just has bad reputation, and reputation doesn't mean anything. Just take a look at this video, very good explanation and reasons.
The S6 was the worsk selling Samsung phone because they remove the microsd card ....
Now the S21 remove the sdcard, phone call recordingand and all usb cam connection.
I will keep my note 8 for some more time

Anyway, it could be a nice move to "award" hardcore Samsung fans with the downgraded Galaxy S line and let other people move to other brands.
JDK, 25 Jan 2021snapdragon 888 sir.
Lower price(s20 was $1000 last year, s21 is now $800).
Not to mentio... moreMany times repeated price point is turning from laughable to irritating: not only S21 is not worth its downgrades but you can also pay much less now for S20 and get more features than S21.
And you are that lucky one who gets SD888, but how about "Exynos world"? How about comparing new Exynos 2100 to the year old SD865+?
