Battery swelled after 1 year, contacted Google, they refused to do anything, recall or refund. I've bought pixel phones all my life, and will stop from now on. Never buying another pixel again.

Has serious issues with screen brightness causing color shifting.

Anytime the brightness is less than 100%, if you are in any dark app, all blacks are a gross greyish-green instead of black, then if any light colored content scrolls by all the blacks suddenly snap to black until the pic/vid leaves the screen.

Dual SIM (Physical and eSIM) Connectivity problems while both sims are on?

                Heating issues?

Battery draining in how meny hours?

As I said: "the manual lens selection doesn't let you choose the 233mm and 48mm cameras."

And "already without this "feature" you could force the periscope camera by zooming more), but it doesn't avoid that the camera app uses a crop from the 116.5mm camera instead of using the 233mm camera in low light conditions".

Even Google's engineers themselves note in the exif data whether the 12 megapixel 233mm camera (no binning) was used or whether they used a crop from the 12 megapixel 117mm camera (analog binning).

The beta update worked great with "Pro" mode and manual focus is better than other devices. Still has lowlight issues with a bit of noise, but can be fixed in post.

Google's latest feature drop is said to include manual lens selection for Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 7 Pro, but for the 7 Pro, this feature is basically useless.
The 7 Pro actually has 5(!) cameras (five different fields of view with 12 megapixel) due to analog pixel binning: 13.4mm, 24mm(binning), 48mm, 116.5mm(binning), 233mm (whereas the 6 Pro always uses binning and only has three). And the manual lens selection doesn't let you choose the 233mm and 48mm cameras.

So, manual lens selection avoids that the camera app chooses a crop from the main camera instead of using the periscope camera in low light conditions (in contrast to the 6 Pro, this happens rarely, furthermore, already without this "feature" you could force the periscope camera by zooming more), but it doesn't avoid that the camera app uses a crop from the 116.5mm camera instead of using the 233mm camera in low light conditions (this happens always), so this feature is nearly useless for 7 Pro users!
And in contrast to the Pixel 8 Pro, you can't save 50 megapixel 116.5mm photos, which would nearly solve this issue. So, really not useful. Even manual focus would be more useful.

I've had my pixel 7 pro for 3 weeks after using a OnePlus 6T for 4½ years and can easily say that I should of considered the OnePlus 11 more closely.
the pixel is a good phone... very good camera & video with lots of useful options... but in comparison to even my old mobile there are notable short comings.. there's alot of annoying Google stuff embedded into the phone...you cannot even remove Google weather icon or search bar from the home screen plus your stuck with a large notification area wether you want it or not..hardly customisable..i so wish it had volume shortcut for the lock screen as well, the alert slider button to the side is sorely missed from OnePlus.

as i say..it is a good mobile phone.. but if you've a OnePlus or iPhone already then stick with it.

                            mediocre, I'm re-charging every evening.

I travel alot and what is important is clear crystal picture so I can its excellent mobile especially zooming and photo stabilizer , basically its good for spying and taking crystal clear picture esp telescopic camera which x 30 zoom .which is amazing . its also good if you going for conferences and taking picture of slides.
                                  some negative points:
1: regarding magic eraser its useless, it make the picture ugly so if buying it for this reason then don't w aste your money.
2: battery certainly let you down, now a days we use mobile all day unfortunately the battery doesn't last more than 8hr so always have back up battery or the fast charger line which come with it .
otherwise 7pro and 8pro are the best phones among all pexils

Very underated phone. Price is very low compared to quality of this phone. I own it and phone is brutal! Camera is perfect, phone never freeze or lag.

I recently compared the camera of my Pixel 7 Pro with the S23 Ultra in a store. I took photos of distant objects at 360mm (approximately 15x) because Google's image processing is very bad between 20x and 30x (a 2x crop from a 15x photo is often better than a 30x photo) and because Samsung's S23 Ultra can produce fake details due to machine learning at 30x.
I also used Google's short Night Sight mode because this makes the periscope camera deliver more detail.

This is usually not tested in reviews and the result was that the Pixel 7 Pro was definitely a tiny bit better than the S23 Ultra regarding distant objects.

I also tried turning on Samsung's night mode (which is only available at 10x), but distant objects still looked a tiny bit worse.

But note that I tested multiple Pixel 7 Pro units when I bought the 7 Pro and the image quality as well as the image stabilization of the periscope camera varies. That's another thing that isn't tested by reviews.
