👎GSMARENA👎and reason why: All 2025 smartphones with a Telecamera can now take AI enhanced superzoom photos, but GsmA is like sleeping in a barn and have missed the whole thing 😴💤. I have seen on YouTube some absolutely amazing 50x AI Zoom photos taken with Motorola Edge 60 Pro. GsmA reviewers will still make old-time antiquity 2023-24 tests with 3x zoom or max 6x and stop there 🚫, same here with Honor 400 Pro, which without any doubt can take great telecamera photos with 30x maybe even up to 50x as seen elsewhere with Edge 60 Pro.

Unlike Samsung's "45W" charging, which is actually just 25W, this one charges waay faster. Waay way faster.
The cable in the box is indeed 6A - very nice. You can use that for charging, just need to find a decent charger, if you don't already have one - any good 45W or 65W charger will get the job done.
Battery life is around 2 days for me, granted I didn't use it much. 3 hours of Viber calls drained 20-25% of the battery - that's insanely good. To top it off, the phone never even got warm. I've had a S23 before and it self-ignited when used for prolonged Viber calls - it didn't get hot but got very warm and uncomfortable to hold.
Two thumbs up to Honor from me. Now the hard part is to find a suitable phone case that is NOT for the Chinese version, which is differnt. If a factory case was included in the box, it would've been an allaround great package.

Cable inside is 6A, exactly the same one as on my p50 pro 66W charger which is naturally exactly the same as an honor charger. So if you have a Huawei charger you basically have an Honor one. And with the 66W it charges nice and quick no need to go for a 100W one imo. At 66W it is still beyond any samsung/apple/google phone. Morning top ups work great and no need to charge overnight. Also even though EU version is with the slashed battery size, I so far find it to be quite decent. Got it to 100% at 9:30ish AM yesterday, went to work, went out after so moderate use case but this morning I got it down to maybe 46% even though I left some youtube play with the screen off not sue for how long. So far so good on battery and charging front.

Apparently, the 100W claim is (of course) only with their proprietary Honor 100W charger with proprietary charging protocol. These are the results you see all over the reviews. What was interesting to me (and many others I bet) is what is the supported PD charging speed since I am not buying their crappy charger, I already have several high-quality QC/PD ones at home.
What I found on one of Honor's official sites, translated mind you, the original was in Chinese or somethig - PD charging speed is "at least" 60/66W, with a 10V/6A (11V/6A) setting. This is, apparently, guaranteed, it may actually charge faster - according to them, so don't get your hopes up.
That means, though, if you want fast charging speeds with a standard USB-C PD charger :
- your charger must support 10V/11V mode - not all do since high-speed charging is usually done at 12V or even 20V. 200W+ ones even go higher.
- you need at least a 6A - rated USBC-to-USBC charging cable - if you have a cheap one that only supports 2A/3A, the best you'd get is 20/30W charging with it, no matter how powerful your actual charger may be. Pure copper charging cables are rated at 5A (these are usually sold as 100W/240W charging cables with e-markers) and with these you'd get 50W charging speed. Not bad.
- if the included cable in the box is indeed 6A rated, you can use that and (probably) get 50W with it. If you want the full 66W, you need to find that magical PD charger that supports 10V/6A or 11V/6A charging mode, good luck with that. Most chargers, like 99% of them, tap out at 5A or even 2.5A - 3A for the cheaper ones.
My phone arrives tomorrow, I am curious what I can get it to charge at. Also, reviewers need to (please) test either QuickCharge or PD-charging (or PPS) speeds. Proprietary charging protocols are nice and all, but since the charger is not in the box, nobody cares about these anymore. We need to know how fast the device will charge with a standard QC/PD charger that most of us use. And hopefully what are the exact modes that are suppored by the phone.

If not mistaken the 100W charger is optional for some region, you need to purchase it. Besides that if it is first time charging, the charging time might be longer as it is trying to sync & optimize the phone to suit your profile.

Are you telling me you have to switch on something in the settings or it charges like a donkey? I've looked at settings and unless it's hidden, there something wrong with this phone!

I think this might need to go back for an exchange or refund.

Muk Official , 09 Jun 2025Its so surprising when I look at the battery performance of the so call Silicon Carbon with mo... moreyes mid range 5300 mAh Si/C is the same as upper range high density 5000 mAh Lithium ones.....what people forget is the quality and density of the battery that matters a lot so you should really compare this to 5200 in honor 200 or 300 pro or 14T pro to see a diffrance bigger than 1 hour
as for the high quality ones you can see the gap in power in phones that use the two technologys while having a bit more battery life so they can use more power and still perform better
for better understanding watch some YT videos which honor magic7 pro (EU 5270Mah) beats samsung by a 45m diffrance and x200 pro beats it with over 1.5H so they clearly work its just that the comparision in not right here

Its so surprising when I look at the battery performance of the so call Silicon Carbon with more Capacity. Since it started making waves I started paying special attention to the battery performance section on all GSM Arena Phone Reviews and surprisingly they're not making any significant difference if any. A 5000mah Lion Samsung battery endurance can equate to a 6000mah silicon Carbon.

even tho honor is one of the brands that really has strict tempurature management even with that much throttle it reaches 55C and still no limit wall it easily reaches 60C in other brands
for comparision 8elite in 7pro goes up to 45C max and hits the limit wall
i forgot how bad 8gen3 was wow
