I'm extremely and utterly disappointed by the optimization! Why doesn't the brightness go even above a 1000 nits when it's rated much higher than that? Why does the battery life and speakers suck? Why doesn't the software take advantage of the ltpo technology? And why doesn't it offer Hdr10plus when every phone even half it's price offers it now?

Darth Caesium, 03 Jul 2025How can you reach that temperature on a phone at all? It's dangerous for the battery, no?It's definitely dangerous for the battery. Gaming is a no for this device cause for every 10⁰C increment under prolonged stress, the life expectancy is halved.
I'm waiting for a phone that have a curved display a 5g phone with a big battery and a good processor and a good camera. in the camon 40 premier it's not curved then it has smaller battery when you compare with camon 40pro and why camon 40pro 5g it's not in the market now waiting for camon 50
Don't you think that 4.2 grade is a bit to high for a downgraded phone, compared to the previous Camon 30 Premier with the same grade? Lesser screen, sound and battery life, better chip, the same cameras?
"the Mali G615-MC6 provides a lot of extra oomph in the graphics department over the G610-MC6 and yet the older phone lasted nearly 2 hours more."
If youre gonna try to say something about the gaming battery life specifics, atleast tell what game you are playing and check the resolution, fps and settings on both phones.
Last year, Tecno's 30 Premier certainly took the Camon up a notch. However, I'm not sure if they're doing the same for the 40 Premier. I was expecting more advanced camera features and bigger (or at least same as 30's) storage. Hopefully they'll do better with next year's 50 Premier. I wonder if the Honor 400 is better than the 30 Premier....
Mediocre battery, worse display tech and brightness and no 512GB variant are pretty much obvious reasons to avoid it, but manageable somehow. Cameras are great.
However, 62⁰C heat under stress is a total red flag. I wonder how much it will deteriorate the phone after 1 to 2 years of use.
Camon 30 Premier still a better - and cheaper - choice.
Photos look great although the very first main camera image looks out of focus it looks soft
Rolly Ghiz, 03 Jul 2025Reaching 62⁰C?! How can you even achieve that temperature on a midrange device? How can you reach that temperature on a phone at all? It's dangerous for the battery, no?
Blame curved display they thought the curved display makes the device more premium
Why did you remove the competition section
weak battery compared to the competition ... and doesn't meet the standard (Li-ion) is outdated !
