Its charging is chaotic, but the phone good. There is no stability or system in it. For example, the OnePlus 13 charges stably.

What do you mean by that? Every sensor has its own lens. This is not Huawei Pura 80 Ultra.

The vivo x300 pro does seem to have better cameras for sure.
But it's battery life and performance is where it struggles.
Which I believe the fx9 pro kind of wins over.
Regardless though, both are equally disappointing and overpriced.
You can keep using the fx8 pro honestly if the battery life aint too much of a concern.
no face id , no buy. oppo integrating with AAPL ecosystem [pods, watches, drop, mac ] means they're running free ads for them.
It's frustrating how much these companies charge for flagship phones, especially when they can't even maintain half of their performance for more than 10 minutes right out of the box. They eliminate the 3.5mm audio jack, pushing customers to spend more on higher storage models because there's no option for expandable storage. While they promise long-term software support but those updates often end up slowing down the phone, or worse, causing issues like a malfunctioning screen sometimes even brick them. As a result, people feel compelled to buy a new device sooner than they should have to.

I am very likely returning my X9P for a refund. The camera is shockingly BAD compared to the X8P. This was an upgrade on my X8P so can compare photos side-by-side. Consistently whether zoomed or not, low light or not, the X8P delivers a more detailed and sharper image.
The X9P is blurry, missing details and the AI is more heavy handed meaning parts of an image are smoothed out with an almost cartoonish look. Images are also darker.
The ONLY improvement is colour accuracy, but it's negligible to the point of being irrelevant.
I don't get the reviews about the X9P as surely the reviewer must have noticed what a step down the camera is? I think because two lens now share the same sensor, there is 1. less light hitting the sensor and 2. lower lens fidelity because of how it has been engineered.
This means software updates won't improve performance. If anything it will get worse as the only thing Oppo could do is post-processing, leading to a faked image.
Does anyone else have both phones to compare my experience with the X9P? This is a huge disappointment.
i think this is the most well rounded phone this year.

Just received my Oppo X9 Pro some 10 days earlier than expected (Spain). First impression vs X8 Pro:
It's fatter, but a bit shorter and slimmer. The X8P almost looks anorexic in comparison. With a case, the X9P will be noticeably chunkier.
X9P feels better to hold and has a higher quality feel to it. The rounded corners rest into the palm better and you can hold the phone lower in the hand without fingers leaving prints over the camera housing, which would happen with the X8P.
Not that sure about the colour: Titanium Charcoal. Would have preferred black. It's not unattractive, but in brighter light has a pinkish/purple hue to it. Note sure if that was intentional by Oppo so in darker light it has a more masculine presence, in brighter light, feminine = appeals to both genders.
With age/wear and tear might look worse than black. Oppo have not colour-matched the plastic antennae on all sides of the phone. They are a lot lighter than the metal case and so are far more visible than the X8P where black/black blends in. Aesthetically it looks a bit worse from some angles than the X8 Pro - unless you use a case.
As for the rest of it, all a bit better as the reviews explain. If you are upgrading, you won't be disappointed. If you aren't, the old phone is still excellent.

YUKI93, 04 Nov 2025Tell that to Xiaomi and Vivo, who make the Photography Kit. 🙃🙃PGYTECH is the manufacturer of vivo's photography kit.
Too much rounded corners for me. Phone looks awful, previous version were not so egg shaped like new ones. Good that still Redmagic phones are more rectangular. Also too expensive for a Mediatek chip.
JingBang7, 06 Nov 2025Can we please put out the smaller X9 (non-pro) review out ASAP?
SICK of carrying these huge p... moreThe hardware diff between non-pro and pro is usually pretty huge (as it is here) because the phone that costs ~500e in China can not be valuable when paid 800-900e in Europe BUT a phone that costs ~700e in China definetely can even if paid ~1100-1200e.
btw in China it will cost like 500e in a month or so..talking about the 512GB Pro so imagine the actual specs and qc of the non-pro;)
Can we please put out the smaller X9 (non-pro) review out ASAP?
SICK of carrying these huge phones. Vying for either this or the X300 or the Xiaomi 17 Pro in smaller sizes.
YUKI93, 04 Nov 2025Tell that to Xiaomi and Vivo, who make the Photography Kit. 🙃🙃Lmao, the kid is talking about a 3rd party accessory made by some random backwater factory as if it decides what the phone's purpose is (p.s. - just a gimmick)
