NeonHD, 12 Nov 2025Well, it also depends on how popular the phone is, as in how many people actually own it.

I might try a Motorola or Sony next time though. They are also easy to bootloader unlock from what i heard.

It's definitely got an iOS aesthetic in general, but this has been the case for like a decade now...
Anonymous, 10 Nov 2025Can you unlock bootloader on vivo? No bootloader unlock = no buy! Bootloader unlock = freedomPretty sure unlocking the bootloader on Vivo phones has been virtually impossible for a long time. Only on those really old models. It's a shame, because Vivo phones are pretty great. So the question is if you're willing to adapt.

Generally the custom ROM community is very active with Xiaomi devices because lots of people own it, particularly those from India. Hence, you'll usually see more progress, more updates and more support with Xiaomi devices.
Anonymous, 10 Nov 2025There are no custom ROMs for new phones.. rip custom ROMEven if they are available, they are so buggy and limited in terms of functionality, that it transforms the device usage into constant "reboot to recover ", "click 3 times here and there to get that working once" and so on. It's basically do-it-yourself project and toy, not a working embedded device, what people paid for. We all have done that, many have even contributed to XDA devs ... But it's a thing from the past.

You can't do that with an iPhone now can you. No comparison whatsoever.
Xiaomi is the better iPhone 🤣

This is basically an iPhone clone running Android. The amount of things copied including the whole setup/display is almost identical. I'm actually surprised it's not running into and copyright issues
You don't know if the chip uses a TOF 3D sensor

Nowadays I even buy smart home gadgets from Xiaomi and so far no regrets.
I wouldn't buy this Xiaomi 17 Pro Max though because it's overpriced kind of like an iphone, has specs that I don't need such as that useless oled display on the back and it lacks essential features that I need such as sd card reader or audio jack or even IPS LCD display. My eyes are sensitive so I don't like OLED.
Anonymous, 04 Nov 2025Studio monitors have cables. All the best headphones have 3.5mm connectionsare you seriously connecting a studio monitor to a phone? do you even know what sort of cables studio monitors use?
did you know a usb-c dac that's less than 30 dollars is more transparent than a dac found in the 3.5mm port of a 400 dollar motherboard?
Anonymous, 04 Nov 2025Studio monitors have cables. All the best headphones have 3.5mm connectionsSo you are talking about studio monitors now? And 3.5mm heaphones? Since you were saying Xiaomi phones suck and iPhone "just works" with your corded heaphones. Clearly you are not up to it and don't know what you are talking about. You should stick to your iPhone or Samsung phone but good luck finding them a 3.5mm headphone jack because your 3.5mm heaphones won't work either
