Anyone else notice the "Y" key and the "Z" key are swapped in position on 8900 that they were using to review? Is the 8900's "QWERTZ" keyboard actually like that? haha
The Review is excellent ......... I had been searching for reviews of Blackberry phones and i must admit, the reviews @ gmsarena are the best, there are over the entire internet. Detailed, accurate and suggestive- covering each and every feature in detail- Just like the user/consumer wants it to be ................ thank You very much for such a mind blowing review.
Can you also, please post a detailed review of Blackberry Bold 9000 and can you please compare the Curve 8900 with the Bold 9000.
I am confused, as to what should i buy the Curve is sexier looking and more stylish - but the Bold comes in with more features and almost the same price range !!!
Thank You- very much, I really appreciate your kind efforts!!!
klasna, 27 Mar 2009battery life is so so. sound is poor. display is awesome. speed between the menus very fast... morebattery life is only poor if you keep it in the case it comes with (magnet in the case). This is a well documented problem. google it. audio is great... soo loud... even louder that my w810i modded with loud acoustics.
battery life is so so.
sound is poor.
display is awesome.
speed between the menus very fast.
handling is great.
my vote is 8.
but its the best phone of RIM.
if you are planing to buy.
you will not be regret!!!
I sold my E71 to get the Bold but sold that to get the Curve 8900. So in a way, 8900>Bold>E71.
Frankly we use the Blackberry over the E71 mainly because the email actually works in environments where the E71 cant even hold onto a signal with the same carrier. We need the best and most reliable business tool. We have large mac accounts and the Blackberry works a dream with these accounts. The E71 keys are too small and just cannot compete if one has to have the best & most reliable email. Simple as that. The rest of the so called features are just that - add on's.
its the best blackberry ive had, and ive had the storm and old curve. i agree with the comment below you wil have to pay for the emails so why wouldnt you put the data package on? so why is the a disadvantage? the web is the best thing that blackberry has improved and the sound quality is still brilliant alot better than the storm. as a company we sell about 10 a week of this phone and all customers are happy. the new facebook is brilliant on the phone(whoeva might have it yet)the 3g is not a big issue as its been proven that the curve is faster than the BOLD which has 3g. so curve all the way.
I don't understand why they were upset that they couldn't use the DATA features without DATA? If you want to use the full functionality of the phone your gonna have to pay for it.
ive been using this phone for a week now and it works perfectly on my opinion! The only complication i cant go over is how to set it from wi-fi to WAP internet.. ive searched and saw a lot of discussions about it online, but still havent found an explanation on how to do it.. im love this website and rely on it a lot.. so i thought maybe i'll find some help here.. if so, please, respond! thank u:)
Anonymous, 19 Mar 2009Wow another blackberry review by GSMarena! Good job, nice to see it I have this phone and I... moreyou are right.i've got this phone a week ago as a gift from my lover.thi product is amezing.I love it'z camera.and the sound quqlity is superb.itz the best HS I ever had.I knew another thing from this product, that iz my guy knows to chooze right thingz for me.
its a good phone, even it lacks 3G, but still working good for me. i can update my facebook, adding pics and i can always online in my YM that's saves me alot. the only problem for this phone is the battery, every day i always plug my phone... overall this is one of the best phone in the market..
I've had this phone for a few weeks now and I really like it. Its really easy to sync to the computer unlike the Palm 800w that my mom has (that still don't work properly). The GPS feature is solid but lacking some things. But a single 3rd party app called Poynt fixed that. I got this phone through T-Mobile, and I was very impressed by it. It lacks 3G which yeah hurts but its still pretty quick. I really enjoy my phone, granted the camera dose suck. My old D900 took way better pictures I kinda hoped that this would be perform like that one did but it didn't. Really a nice a lil system update that really just kind of dressed up the sub menus a little bit would be awesome. Its a good phone though I enjoy it.
I think is best Blackberry. If I walk into T-Mobile store you sure I gonna walk out with it.
