I have not been able to tether to my laptop (use my phone as a modum) Samsung say it is not possible, has anyone done this

Purcased this phone in Germany, but the battery lasts only for about 48 hours.
There's an desktop charger available, but how can it charge, I cannot see any connection slot on the bottom of the phone ???

brilliant camera, bad touch screen, lags when texting and texting can be a pain as there is no back button and the touch screen isnt accurate enough. widgets on the screen are annoying as they move everytime u touch the home screen. the internet is useless because of the touch screen. only good for tethering. video recording is brilliant. going through the pics is very slow and when u tilt the phone u cant stop it from flicking through all the pictures which is VERY annoying when showing someone pics. feels nice in the hand though i do miss it because of the camera and recording and looks of it.

help, i have the samsumg ultratouch. can anyone advise how to permanently display the recipient list when creating a txt. this was the case until i dropped my phone & it has disappeared.

What I would change also in S8300 ? Separate mini jack plug on top or bottom and more volume control. I thing all mobiles are to loud. Of course if in use outdoor there is no problem. But if You want to hear discreet at home, at night, traveling, Level 1 is to loud for me. Same in all nokia phones and most mp3 players.

I had this phone for a while in december and sold it out because of terrible poor battery. I'm Nokia user for years and battery for 1/ONE/day not even 24h is a failure.Vew weeks later I bought it back. Why? Because of camera quality. It is best one I've testet. Not perfect. I put into test N82,N85,N95, N97, OmniaHD, Satio, iPhone, Pixon12 . For me S8300 with automatic exposure taken from N82 or manual time setting sms massaging and battery from Nokia would be best cameraphone on market. Video is great, pictures with some experience also.Exif data would be nice in handset. Does anybody have a light rouge circle in the middle of a picture? It is noticeable on white, light objects. Now i have E52 for long time work and S8300 for multimedia.
