I was a Nokia fan who was waiting for my phone service provider to release the N97. I ended up getting the Touch Pro2 instead because I couldn't wait and now I'm hooked on HTC. It is customised with my service provider's content and serves 1000 different purposes. Brilliant! The radio is also functional, which is a bonus. Two thumbs up.
it comes with a WM 6.5 Pro installed now... hopefully they unlocked the Radio and its camera hidden features like geotagging, Sports mode, etc as well... we, amateurs don't understand about tweaking and modifying advanced gadgets, only how to use it *LOL*
Can you confirm that the HTC touch Pro 2 will run Coreplayer?
It's just Coreplayer website says 1.36 version (latest) not compatible with Qualcomm 7200 chipsets (HTC TP2 is QC 7200A)
I don't want to waste $29 on coreplayer if it won't install - but I need a Divx player app
this mobile will be the 1st in malta i struggled a lot to find him now that is in my hands im really happy, the pro2 is nice and the nokia n97 is a fake against him,im a nokia fan but the htc pro2 beats them all, what ever they say about this mobile that it dosent have radio.come on you can listen your car radio.its amazing and thanks to htc for bringing out such a beatuful device.
RL, 30 Jul 2009Hi guys, If I buy this phone no matter on contract, pay as u go or phone alone, will window... moreAs this is the latest windows mobile out now, it will be available for upgrade on windowsn 6.5
Wicked phone so far! Hate that they didn't include an 8GB in this one like they did with the HD...but I guess at least we got a nice cover.
Sorry to say but after playing with the iPhone and then owning this one I have to say that it kinda blows the iPhone away a bit. The only thing the iPhone really has going for it is it's screen (quite a pleasure to use as a pure touch phone). Sadly our country can't access the apple store, we have to (and that's HAVE TO) install iTunes before even starting the damn thing up and then we're limited and controlled by Apple (I love Sony but I also hate how friekin' "Dis is mine and you can not change it" they have to be).
Anyway - a very nice change from that useless bloody aging Symbian (and this from my last three phones being Nokias).
If I buy this phone no matter on contract, pay as u go or phone alone, will window mobile 6.5 upgrade avaiable for all of us?
My only question is, I see in the Spec sheet that it has Wifi, but will it have Wifi once TMobile gets their hands on it? We all know how much TMobile loves to strip the Wifi off could be great devices. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.
Cawan, 15 Jul 2009My suggestion to you N97 better than Touch Pro2.... i m n97 user now...I had held both devices in my hand and N97 just feels like cheap plastic. Hand down to Touch pro2. You won't regret.
