Im on my third experia X1 great phone but battery is dreadful I use 4-5 batteries a day (with all programs closed except for bluetooth)!!!
lets hope X2 its better.

Does anybody know yet if it will still have notification lights? that is one of the things I love about my X1, being able to see at a glance if I have text/missed call without having to pick phone up.

Yes Sony was first to develop World's Largest Full Color OLED(i.e. 13")in February 2001. But that's about it.And that was TV. In fact it was Samsung SDI who first developed 2.2-inch AM OLED for mobile phones.
Sony is one of the main force behind OLED development, but they always eyed on development TVs, not mobile displays like Samsung does.
SONY DIDN'T INVENT AMOLED.
Read the AMOLED history before making such ridiculous claim please.

I think UI minor problems are gonna be fixed in the final product and the phone will get better thank's to SEUS
This review just make me feel like the X3 is gonna be a smart killer :D

accelerometer on board but no auto-rotate? oh se, when will you EVER learn? also, the design and use of materials is a clear downgrade from the X1. doubtless that it will cost a heap load more than the X1, but tell me, for WHAT exactly?

My opinion about X2:
- Same processor as X1 (If I am owner of X1, no point to update)
- Same 3.2inch as X1 (Again! no point to update)
- Preloaded with Windows Mobile 6.5 (Great! Windows Mobile 6.5 is a go for now)
- The new X-Panel interface is damn nice effect and smooth (Possible cook out in future for my OMNIA II? He He)
- Stylist Design
- Great 8.1MP Camera
Summary:
- Not a huge changes compared with X1
- The processor is kinda old and only 528Mhz
- Screen to small, 3.2inch is not good for finger friendly.
- Still TFT, sorry la, after I use b4 Ultra Touch and current OMNIA II, only AMOLED screen phone I will consider.

Been using the Win Mo devices ever since it was first launched. It has been one disappointment after another. I thought the SE X1 will make a big difference and it did, it just added on the list of disappointments. The kybd is just terrible..... It is non responsive and the screen is just as bad.
The machine is just good for call and answering calls. The latest update make answering call a two step process making it the worse user experience. Needless to say the MP3 player is another nightmare. Its BAD. I tried once and immediately went back to my Creative Zen. Tried streaming.... At the risk of angering those who have nervous system disorders, I think the X1 digital media player is designed for them in mind.
I have since junked this crap for a simpler hp and the design which emphasize on the user experience rather that all the tech stuff. A hp that focus on what the user want to get out of his smart phone and how to enrich the user life. A true learn, work and play phone. A hp that I should have got earlier.
X2....I hope it will not double the nightmare but I doubt I will go back to Win Mo devices. Android holds some promise but that remains to be proven. Feedback have been positive but that remains to be seen.

N900 records WVGA @ 25fps while X2 records at WVGA @ 30fps..so video is also better and yes it will be able to record in mp4, thats the beuty of SE as they make the most customizable sets.
N900 have 256 physical memory like X2, the rest is virtual, we will see how it turns out.
About OS, maemo LOOKS good but we can only tell when it will come out, Windows is a very good os if you know how to use it and don't forget windows has huge third party software support which maemo doesn't have.
About processor speed, N900 has 600 mhz but X2 has a faster processor than N97, so do you agree that X2 is better than N97???"

I do despair when I read of SE being dead. Sony are behind this, and after decades of success they will not fade away in the phone market. Walkman is an established name for example, and their mp3 players are FAR superior to Apple's in sound quality. I'm no SE fanboy as I have a N86, but the idiotic rants of fanboys do make me wince.

it will be much cheaper than the x1 according to Gustav Brusewitz at sony ericsson.
I think it's a phone for me, even without revamped messaging UI.

It's ... moredidnt you know that The Cortex A8 @ 600Mhz is a single CPU and it cant be compared with core2duo CPU from Intel because they are very different. learn more about OMAP than make comments. that CPU which N900, Satio and Omnia HD runs is very good but it cant be compared with core2duo because it comes from OMAP3 series and only OMAP4 series supports something like that. wiki OMAP4 to learn more.

1.even gsmarena said that the 8mp camera of X2 is perfect and of course much better than the 5mp camera of N900 (I know mp are not everything but thats what gsmarena confirmed)
2.Virtual memory and RAM are 2 different things and you dont know that !!!!!! and N900 has the same RAM memor of 256 mb just like X2.
3. its not confirmed which one is better, WM 6.5 or Maemo 5 so wait till gsmarena makes a head to head comparision betwen them
conclusion: what an AMATEUR you are

Each architecture is different. It's like trying to compare a Pentium 4 HT @ 3Ghz and Core2Duo @ 2ghz. The core2duo would whoop the Pentium 4 like there is no tomorrow.
The Cortex A8 @ 600Mhz is a super CPU with excellent 3D hardware and video acceleration. Only the snapdragon 1Ghz has similar or slightly better performance.
I do like WM for the unlimited customization and 3rd party apps but generally it's a lot slower even with faster CPU's because Windows is resource hungry! Symbian on the other hand require very little resources. With only 528Mhz it's a bit on the slow side for WM. I own a Touch HD with the same cpu and with the fastest custom ROM but still wish the processor to be a little faster.
It's not a bad phone but when this thing is finally released it be a bit dated... 528mhz cpu is released on mid-tier devices now, not high end phones.
