It's October 2022 and the screen on my iPhone X died. Had this LG (ECO version) in a drawer, it was still in its box. I've been using it for more than a month now. It is only used for calls and SMS and I found out that I'm not wasting time like I was when using a smartphone. I think I'll stick to this small (fits in your pocket!!!!!) no-nonsense phone until I can save enough money to buy another iPhone. Or maybe I'll just stop using smartphones...

I have had this phone for a month and it is a pleasure to use, stylish in a minimalist way, with good graphics, good call quality, and good net browsing (using Opera Mini) although the browser keypad which appears has tiny characters which makes it tricky to use (using a stylus is recommended), and the landscape 'qwerty' keypad for messaging is a bit crammed and you have to be accurate (the other option is 'predictive' in portrait format). My biggest disappointment is that the phone has been switching off at random times, e.g. while texting or browsing the net (very annoying). This is a huge disappointment (my LG KS360 did the same!) and it would have been perfect otherwise.

What kind of stupid may expect wifi, 3G from a 100$ handset???
Guys, let me clear u a thing. Nokia 5233 is SMARTPHONE, cuz it has symbian OS. So u may install any kind of tools in nokia 5233, but its OS is too slow & faulty.
LG pep is smooth, but it ain't smartphone. SO if u want LOTZ of app. then don't buy LG.

this phone is alright
i got mine from the carphone warehouse and read all the features thinking how good it would be if i got it but it turns out that there isnt a voice dial it said on the features it had it but it doesnt its so annoying

Here is what i have found o... moreDo NOT buy the 5233, the software on it is TERRIBLE, the pep is a very nice phone, so is the cookie, the corby is OK,but it lacks features, so if I was you, I'd get the pep or the cookie. :)

I m confused between LG cookie Pep, Nokia 5233, and Samsung Corby. Here is what i have found out till now from reading review here and comments.
LG cookie pep has better still camera than 5233 or Corby but 5233 has very good video recording at 30 fps. 5233 is a smartphone which probably means that u can add more softwares and applications in it i guess. Corby has capacitative touchscreen while 5233 and LG pop both has resistive screen which means corby wud be more fun to use as far as touchscreen is concerned but Corby doesn't have accelerometer which means cant change the interface just by turning the phone and also no qwerty keymap also. For me though Corby and Pep both looks very nice. Corby has a very funky look with lovely colored back and pep also looks very slim and nice. 5233 i think looks slightly plasticky and slightly fat compared to these two but its good too. I m so confused.
anybody else got any other points to compare these 3 phones?
