HTC Hero only looks good in production pictures and advert photos. All... morebummy,
have you held the Hero in your hand and seen it in real life?
I have, and it felt GOOD, and looked nice as well.
And in what pictures don't you like it?
I think it looks quite good in pics, but not as good as it did when resting in my hand.
HTC have always been known for their high build quilty, and the Hero continues on that path.
SE on the other hand... I don't know if I'm that convinced about them.
The X10 with its glossy plastic will be a finger print-magnet, and those "chrome"-buttons on the front don't really look that nice to me.
What is it with manufacturers and glossy black plastic these days? Get this: It is AWFUL!

Too bad the phone will be released sometime in Q1 2010 as it may be "outdated" by then as many of SE's competitors will most likely have newer phone models that are similar in features and probably cost LESS!
Wonder how much money SE will DEMAND from people for the X10??
An arm and a leg? Or more?!!
Typical SE, releasing news releases on products that are pushed back from its original release date, only to find that the product is Outdated by the time its released Yet charging a Premium for it!!
No wonder SE is NOT doing well financially!

Kal, 03 Nov 2009The video over at slashgear doesn't quite convince for a "devilishly fast" user experience as ... moreIt May not be DEVILISH fast.. but you remember when the HERO first came out... had a fantastic UI, but still had a slight lag on it release.... Well, HTC sent out an update that Fix that, and In my use with it, its pretty freaking fast..So before you complian bout the X10 not having AMAZING SPEED off the bat, just think bout past phones that were claiemed to be fast prior to release.. which are mainly HTC phones

X10 is the First SE Android Phone, i'm prettty sure they've been working on releasing it with the 1.6 for a long time.. SO just Jumping to 2.0 without completely working things out with 1.6 is a stretch.. i'm pretty sure if they released the phone with Eclair without it being fully optimized for performance, EVERYONE will start complaining and whining about that too

Its first day of its announcement and ya it has 1.6.. but would you guys chill out.. If my G1 runs the 1.6Donut version, i'm pretty sure SE will eventually update it to the 2.0 when its ready to be release.

For All You Mobile Phone Lovers/Enthusiast... Ive come to believe that There Will Never Be That PERFECT PHONE.. at least not in Real life.. and a Perfect Phone would be Something the INDIVIDUAL will have to BUILD THEMSELVES to WHAT THEY WANT.. So, please, just stop Bashing Sony.. and take your complaints somewhere else..

The video over at slashgear doesn't quite convince for a "devilishly fast" user experience as GSMarena suggested. It needs more work. Those who are expecting it in Jan will be disappointed IMO. Probably SE will showcase it again at WMC in feb. I hope their first andriod wont have the same fate as their first winmo.

X3 group, 03 Nov 2009 this phone is running on 1.6....and 1.6 does not support 16m colors.... but you can upgrade... moreIf this is true, it's a very big shame for SE to not go to Android 2.0 route! Anyway, if the screen supports 16M color but displays 262K colors because of OS limitations and fixable by an OS update, as you said, it's a life saver news! :-)

Wake up. the least you could put would be a 65 thousand colors, this is the least, and you go with 265! You really wasted all the happiness of the 4 inch screen with the best resolution ever 850*480. Unfortunately, now I'm beginning to understand why the company is losing mony!

Kinda bummed that it won't ship with Droid 2.0 but that's okay since homebrew Eclairs should sprout around the web as soon as this thing ships. I'm getting rid of all my phones except my trusty 8900 Curve and switching to this. Come on SE, stop dilly dallying. Chop chop!!

Don't mind losing a few MP if that's what it takes. I -hate- wide phones, it doesn't matter to me in the slightest how magical the thing is, even if it could pull girls on its own, if it annoys me having it in me pocket.. I'd be taking it out more & will eventually lose it.. not helpful.
