i had that kind of a problem once.
i would suggest do a software update and this should fix the problem.
u just have to connect ur phone to ur comp and when u r connected to internet get it updated.
this has worked for me.. good luck.

Hi every one notice the Sony Ericsson Vivaz worse phone ever I advice you dont go for Sony Ericsson Vivaz is very bad phone keep geting frozen and stupid touch vedio ****, HD is all lies not good quality wifi **** the phone been made in cheap quality all plastic!!!!

My phone freeze at the Sony Ericsson logo when I turn on today. I try the troubleshoot instruction on Sony Ericsson website, removed the battery wait for 1 minute and put it back, power on the phone still freeze at Sony Ericsson logo. Anyone have the same problem?

I had the same problem, can send messages but cannot receive.
Update your phone using Sonny Ericsson Update Service. After I updated the phone all the messages were shown. I assume that phone received then but didn't show them in inbox nor elsewhere.

I have the Nokia E72 and am quite disappoin... moreHaven't check it yet but running opera mobile is pretty smooth, no lag while flick screen scrolling. Compare it to nokia s60v5 phone and you got the point. Haven't crashed even after opening opera mobile, and more stable after software update. Haven't freeze yet.

Bought this phone 3 days ago. Very good. After updating the firmware it becomes faster. No crash unlike my N97 I just sold 2 weeks ago (the phone was shit). The build quality is good though I think they need scratch resistance material to protect the shiny black battery cover. Lack of proximity sensor doesn't effect my calling experience. The phone fits well in size, very shiny. The black color seems expensive.

i bought this phone a few days ago - and i think you are either lucky or unlucky with the phone.. my one is fab, hasn't crashed, can hear the person on the other end - no problem.. (ocasionally a bit fuzzy)..but nothing serious..
interface - a bit of a nightmare - apps all over the place, but i've got used to it..
camera fab, video great quality, radio good sound.. very easy to use..
text messages sending/receiving - very quick and easy with the qwerty keyboard..
internet a bit slow (but nothing major).. can download my hotmail.. and upload pics to facebook - very easy !!!
great looking, smaller and snazzier than the i phone (which i found too bulky)..
i really like it !!!
BUT - when i receive text messages - i never know who they are from - is there a bug fix on this at all ??
also - which is the safests and secure site to download free games..

After visiting vodafone today and getting 2 new replacements, I established the problem causing this fault. On the handset, the vibrate will work perfectly for both calls and message, however when the general theme is changed from it's original of 'flow', the vibrate for messages stops working. This has happened with the 3 vivaz's have had. Also, the conversations scroll tab goes straight back to the top when you scroll down, it only stays in place on the 4th or 5th time. Anyone else had this problem?

Each and everyone of them would freeze, either when i wanted to add a recipient to a message or when i went to send a message or anytime they felt like it really, and i could do nothing except turn them off and on again to get them to work. I then gave up with the vivaz even though i so wanted one to work properly as i loved the phone, and i now have a x6 which i love, it is a little bulkier than the vivaz and as the vivaz is hd you do notice the difference with the screen colours but it is easy to use and works YEEAAAHH! No freezing wotsoever. I hope this helps.

Sophie, 15 Apr 2010I noticed the volumn is very low when having an incoming call. The caller's voice is hardly he... moresame probs here on vivaz the volume is so low a bit lag sometimes.
