One week since I got my Desire and I'm bowled over.. Great Phone, Congrats HTC and Google for coming up with this gem. Android 2.1 + Snapdragon 1Ghz + 572 MB RAM + Sense UI is a WINNING combo.. no doubt!! I'm fine with the battery life since I don't mind charging every night. The speaker-sound is tinny, but the headphone sound is perfect. Final verdict: Exceeded all my expectations!!
Any ideas on when HTC will fix the camera with the new OS update??
& When the Desire will be available in the ME??
just added speak to text. works perfectly. now instead of writing my messages i just speak to my phone :)
OMG... this cell is just awesome!! no issues up to now.. faster than expected!
speed wise performance..u all know 1ghz !
well the 120mb limitation for apps is not an issue.. at least for me... till nw i've installed almost 30 apps and still 50mb available(20-30more apps)
it's waaaaaay better than iphone.. iphone is lyk inserting the sim in ipod;p (no offence iphone frndz, sorry) anyways.. camera is at its best with strong led flash..
sam, 28 Apr 2010how is the music player and the sound? sounds better than 3gs with earphones?? i really need t... moreThe sound on the external speaker is definitely not as good as the iPhones. But with headphones it's a different story. Full and rich sound everywhere. Listening to music everyday.
how is the music player and the sound? sounds better than 3gs with earphones?? i really need that info please as i'm always listening to the music and i really liked iphones music quality though i hate apple :p
What about the screen? I've read it has problems with multi touch.
Is that true for the Desire? I know the N1 is horrible with that.
just upgraded to this from my 3gs and im loving it , great all round.
music player not as good as iphone but everything else is as good or better , just needs to be able to stnc with itunes so i can get all my audiobooks on it !
Baterry life gets better after a week o so. Just have to drain the battery completely and charge the phone while it is off. do this once or twice and the batery life gets better. I use my phone for internet alot around 2 hours of 3g internet, sending couple of emails and checking emails every hour o so, playing with the phone a lot , acouple of calls and text. by the time a get home around 6 and i still have around 40 % battery. if i go nuts on 3g internet it will be around 20 %. Had the iphone 3gs wasnt any better. Had the omnia hd even worse ( that had a bigger battery). Its a smart phone with shit loads of specs. Battery life is as accepted. when htc fixes the camera to hd and when android 2.2 cames with apps beening installed to the sd card this phone will be perfect.
Just purchased the Desire. I have to say what a fantastic phone.
I have used Android since its inception, (G1 also a great device)for those considering a pruchase you need to consider what you really want most from the phone.
There are so many pro's and few cons with this device, people would be crazy to turn down the chance to own such a device.
For those who no what Android is all about will not hesitate.
you will always get those people who are considering moving to a new experience expressing doubts about one thing or another.
Once you dig deep into the soul of this device i assure you, you will very pleased with purchase.
Well done HTC, 2 great devices Legend and Desire.
