However, this is dynamic based on the detail in the scene. In practice it seems to run around 9mbps bearing in mind we already use the efficient H.264 codec. we had to creat an extremely high detail artificial test pattern to verify that it would use the 12mbps data rate. I will be very surprised if you see any obvious compression based artefacts now. re YouTube. as long as the original doesn't have any compression artefacts, there's nothing else we can do to prevent sites such as YouTube introducing compression artefacts.

Nokia PLEASE raise the video bitrate to the HIGHEST possible. If sensor and optics are great this is the most important thing left. THIS is what can make this phone stand out. 100% sure. 9Mb/s will have a lot of compression artifacts and footage will fall apart sooner and especially after Youtube re-compression. You don't have a higher end video market to protect, so if it is possible allow greater video recording bitrates. If recording time is a priority, just allow compression options (9/18/32/64 Mbs).

Could that b... moreHi yes BT keyboard can be used to fire the camera shutter. You can also use a BT mouse to control everything you see on the screen. A pointer appears when the BT mouse is active.

A USB connectable video light would be great accessory from Nokia...
It will also serve as a Flash, in case Xenon proves to be too strong. It happens that when you snap text & macro, flash often seems too glary...
I hope Damian sir forwards the matter...

i m a 100 percent nokia fan.
i do understand that n8 do nt hv duel lights for video.
but is it possible for nokia to manufacture a external video lights for fans like us n we dont mind to carry ard....plssss damian.....plsss....
