      okay..
since n8 not yet come out in market (many people already loss their patience to wait for it)
      Here I got my question:
how about n8 digital zoom for photo & video? since n8 camera is 28mm wide angle & may 2x digital zoom enough to take photo especially taking photo of model during fashion show / concert? (at distance within ~6m)
How is the performance of 2x digital zoom as compare to n86?

Bro, 01 Jul 2010Wow! Thanks for the reply Sir ... I hope it can support VGA using adaptors... waiting for you... moreComing back to the question of HDMI to VGA.

After checking I can confirm yes it is possible. 720p resolution is provided via the HDMI to VGA. You'll need to connect the 3.5mm AV connection to your audio-in input. This will provide the audio component for you.

My area of speciality is on the imaging side.

My own units don't have the full SW release they're running a special version of the full version which is just for image/video tuning. As a result they have a lot more than 135mb available as they are today, but I guess that will go down once the final sw has been released. I'm unable to comment at this time what that final figure will be. I would wait until that stage and then ask the question again.

Samarth INNOV8 user, 04 Jul 2010Damian Sir, Can we use the touchscreen of N8, after applying a transparent protective cover... moreI haven't tried aftermarket screen protectors but the one that is on the display we use for shipping seems to work ok. I've not used it extensively with it in place but after first boot up and prior to it's removal all functions were working for me.

                          Dear Damain,

I'm surprize that Nokia has a representative here to hear from customer point of view. That's a great effort.

My point is it possible that this N8 final product will have a slightly higher internal memory (C: directory). In the spec sheet, N8 only provide 135mb. From one of the video shown by nokia during the demo has faced a low memory error messages and get hang. So it is quite obvious that as a consumer, we might face the same problem as well.

I have missed out the application suggestion contest held by nokia for the past few weeks. I would just like to suggest to Damain that the phone will be more attractive and useful by pre-install an application that able to detect wireless hidden CCTV. I'm pretty sure this feature will attract lots of female buyer for security and safety purposes. I believe the existing hardware is able to screen the frequency used by wireless CCTV.

Another application that is worth to add on is the remote car access. This is good in case your existing car remote key is out of battery or faulty.

                          That's all for my comment.

Hope Damain able to read it and consider it.

                          Thanks

                            Damian Sir,

Can we use the touchscreen of N8, after applying a transparent protective covering film over it?

I mean, a waterproof like cover to protect from dust, water, etc. is what my plan is.
                            Will the touchscreen work?
