Anonymous, 27 May 2010Come on children - let's not fight!!! Here's my (unbiased opinion) on the latest phones... ... moreGood comparison. Two points though:

- S^3 can't be outdated, it hasn't been released yet!

- HTC Desire is an all-rounder, but.. what's with the fugly pink spot
in the camera?? I really don't get it why all their phones have it. You'd think they'd get rid of it by now. So I put minus the camera for Desire.

Come on children - let's not fight!!!

Here's my (unbiased opinion) on the latest phones...

X10 - no native multitouch, 1.6 to start with, no prospect of 2.2 (2.1 likely SOMETIME) and underdeveloped U.I. (major problem) with lagging interface... looks very nice though - and very nice screen!

N8 - the ultimate cameraphone - I don't class it in the same league as Desire, Galaxy S, X10 - I think it's more in league with Satio, Vivaz, etc. - looks fantastic - but U.I. is seriously outdated, one for picture buffs (who want a bit of customisation)

Desire - all-rounder, dependable, HD video update coming, Froyo promised, 2.1 out of the box... If you're in doubt, I'm sure 90% of the population wanting an Android phone would be happy - it's the safe bet, the U.I. is slick (but after having a Hero for a year) it's just a tad boring, but no issues whatsoever... (looks slightly boring)

Galaxy S - incredibly dull looking, odd omission of photo light - but (and similar to Desire) people getting this I suspect aren't interested in taking photos as much (the HD video is welcome!) but the specs and screen appear to be best in class. For people who want to be cutting edge and are willing to take the slings and arrows of Samsung's first Android device. Count me in!

Design is clearly no that ugly ! It's amazingly thin and rather classic.
The Flash support will come soon with Froyo
The Flash on camera is lacking, true. But is it really important?

This phone has the most insane specs. Only problem is the design is horrible. I could of at least up with that because I can admire with an amazing piece of technology this phone is. However I have no clue why samsung couldn't of at least put an led flash on this beast considering almost ever phone on the market has one.

From the specs, this Phone IS the best phone nowadays, that's a fact. Some people though won't like the Design, well, that's an opinion, not fact.Personally i don't care a lot about design because i tend to use my phone's abilities and not itself as an acessoire. But I respect other people's opinion which care more about design.Besides, the design of the iphone menu grid for example was actually stolen from palm's OS ;).So much for copycat...

Nokia N8 IS in fact oudated because of its OS.I think in the near future the big ones will be iphone OS,Android and WinMo 7 (and perhaps Samsung's Bada, but I don't believe it).Not many people will still use Symbian.

Been using the galaxy s prototype for last 5 days. I must say that I'm really impressed! This will replace my current Nokia. :). I second the review, the super amoled is amazing! Battery life for me has been roughly two days. Looking at the specs on paper doesn't do justice to it. You really have to try it for yourself.

Turn-by-turn should be available in the UK and US as it is for the nexus one, from the pics I'm guessing the reviewer was based in France?

anonymous, 26 May 2010it doesnt matter how they do it, what matters is the result.Do you think in real life cpu has only one work - to generate triangles. No, its not. While multitasking and other activites phone need cpu. So actual number will be quite low.

Enough with the accusation of I9000 as iPhone copy. If by design, it does look a bit like iPhone but please take a look at the specs not the design!. The specs are not completely a copy of iPhone. It doesn't even has the iPhone OS built in but Android OS. So cut your crappy Apple/iPhone fanboy talk.
