Because each frame have more detail in N8 compare to Galaxy S. And N8 also have several advantage you not mention; Fm transmitter, Usb on go, full flash on web, far better build quality, hdmi port, pentaband 3.5G (Well useless if you are not going abroad or you dont live in US), Web tv, free ovi maps and rest I forgot.
Well Galaxy S will be more fast and its ui will be great but touchwiz looks so childish. I will more prefer the ui of X10 then this. Also compared to N8, N8 have some advantage like visual multitasking. N8 also have 256 mb ram but every body knows that symbian is not much ram eater Os. Also symbian^3 has paging technique on Ram management so multasking will be no problem.. Well I also really love the Super Amoled screen of Galaxy S and Swype text prediction of Galaxy S.. But I told the facts..

but the galaxy S has multiple advantages over the N8:
+SAMOLED Screen of higher resolution
+720p HD recording at 30fps instead of 25 (but really, we only need 24fps to perceive as smooth motion)
+1Ghz processor vs 680mhz
+1500mAh vs 1200
+2GB ROM vs 512mb
The only thing that WOWS me with the N8 is the awesome camera.

As stated to you previously, no phone is perfect, be happy with what is available and glad there is innovations being made. When i worked in customer support for Motorola about 8 years back a phone could call and text. that was it! a camera was an attachment to be purchased extra only on the newest top of the line handset (T720i - look it up!)
I don't have the will to rant anymore, it is a gorgeous day in scotland and i'm off to find a beer garden when i finish work in 20 mins. i suggest you do the same!

SE 2010, 22 May 2010My point is fellows, is that sometimes we need to work our brains instead of following a brand... morePersonally, if I get the i9000, it will be my first Samsung phone ever, since I never liked any other phone the company made, so for me, the specs are what's convincing, not the brand.
The reasons to get this over the iphone (3 or 4) are many, but the best one is that you avoid becoming an apple customer, hence you won't force itunes upon yourself and you avoid a life integrated little by little in the apple hive mind. I'll take android and some freedom of choice thank you very much.
As for the choice of apps, are you aware that Android market is currently getting 10.000 new apps a month. How long do you think it will take before it has more than the apple store? Does it even matter? If there are already 10.000 how many do you actually need? Why is this number important?
As for this concept of 'originality' you keep going on about, what is that really worth I wonder? When you can have a product that offers the best functionality with the fewest and least annoying drawbacks, why would I care if all the functions are copied/borrowed/whatever from other products that have already proven their worth, rather than them being newly invented and untested? Is it really so bad to be 'standing on the shoulders of giants' ?

Guys it mite come as a shock! its 2010 and phone's without LED flash and dedicated camera button will still be released....
The iphone has no flash but yet it still takes good pics during the day! If you need a phone with flash then simply buy something else.
Seriously alot of moaning over nothing. if the phone crashed or ran like dog slow then i can agree with moaning but it runs smooth. Screen looks great! Takes great day photos. So far no serious firmware problems.
Great phone but still getting a samsung wave :D.

Well SE2010, it's obvious that you need to be extra aggressive to convince people that this is a bad phone. Unfortunately for you, that makes you very, very pathetic and nothing else. This is a GREAT phone, but there is no doubt that it's not perfect. However, for now it remains one of the top 5 phones on the market!
Very good review GSMarena, but it would be great if you can update it once Galaxy S hits the markets, because camera quality can be improved and maybe it will be by then. Also, it will be interesting to compare quality-price ratio with other high-end phones. Tnx and have a nice day! :)

I am a big SE fan yes it's true, however, I really liked the nokia n8. I also loved the HD2 + Desire. So be open minded and if there are other alternatives that are better I think it's better going with them.
This phone is great indeed no questions asked! But where is the originality??? Come on now! Since it copies the iphone. Than why not just get the iphone, specially that the new iphone will be much better.
That's it, your money your choice. This is just my opinion. I'm not hear to bash or annoy any of you, please just try to be more open minded :)
