From what I understand SUPER AMOLED has "TRUE" blacks, in that case contrast ratio is infinite.

Good news! Just checked with Samsung, Malaysia, the Galaxy S is likely to be launched in end of June which is about 2 weeks away.
AMOLED= 10.000:1 -> Black Kontrast: 80 %
Super AMOLED= 10.000:1 -> Black Kontrast 100%, more light power ;)
LCD/TFT only 800:1-> Grey, to dark light!
does anyone have the contrast ratio of this super amoled?

Galaxy S was first launched and released here in Singapore since the start of June 2010. Hope that clear things up.

like what m3keni said, his phone "a commercial version" only shows 512MB of ram. And if you haven't read the updates.. samsung confirmed that the galaxy s will have 512mb of ram only the pre-release/test unit will have 256mb.
