Just got my Samsung Galaxy S.... to my disappointment, the phone is not running as smooth as expected with 'significant' hang between operation e.g. getting to dial-pad and contact.
Also, the RAM seemed to be 256 instead of 512 MB. Anyone has any idea on how to confirm this?

Here in the Philippines, I was able to speak with my friend, Samsung's Marketing Manager and he has yet to get any confirmation for shipments of the Galaxy S. As far as he knows Ph is not part of the 110+ countries that Samsung will include on the release this June 19.
So guys dont get your hopes up that we can get this amazing phone by the 19th, probably expect it late July to mid August unless Samsung decides to ship the phones on or before the 19th.

Samsung once again release a first of a kind. The most inovative thing about it - it's perfect in every respect, exept the camera. For my taste (and I don't really want more than 5 Mp) this is THE phone. Fell in love before even getting my hands on it.
It is concerning though what the Russians claim about the price. 1 000$ would be overpriced; and having to make up for the weak camera, I hope that the starting price will be less. Who knows, hopefully after 3-4 months I might be able to afford it...

Yeah, the phone has just been released ! The price is amazing 2000PLN (480EUR) :D
Considering the fact that Iphone 3GS is more expensive its a VERY good deal :D

Do you see how how awkward it is not having a standard button to click. This plus the earlier point and mash that with a 5 MP camera. I ask you, whats the point of including a camera just for the sake of it?
