Samsung Galaxy S vs. Apple iPhone 4 Comments

First of all I am amazed with article response, before I start saying anything, i wanna tell u that I am not a rich person, but my job allows me to test phones and I have tested all samsung, HTC, LG, Nokia,Iphone 4 and so on high end phones
here I go
I am testing I phone 4 as a primary phone for 15 days now, and here i go.
1)initially I have been using iphone 4 without a cover and with a cover and saw that hardly you get a dropped calls, I think with the cover I have yet to see a dropped signal, actually realistically while calling iphone4 has a better voice quality then 3gs, when you make a call, u will feel that.
2) Hardware wise i think other high end phones are not good because they lack GPU, iphone 4 with A4 chip and a dedicated GPU with 512 ram is a serious hardware, games graphics are actually like console hd gaming with the use of gyroscope.I would say better than Samsung Galaxy (though they share the same type of hardware) but Android cannot handle high end games, and developers dont release it coz there is no money for them in android. It will take a lot of time for people to get high end gaming on android.
3)As tester, developer and normal day to day usage, I firmly think that Apple OS is better designed than android right now, for eg touch screen responsiveness test Iphone 4 screen test has a better results.
4) camera is top notch which actually records 720 p smooth HD video, and other high end phones lack that coz of bad or no GPU, on papers they say and realistically they fail, on Iphone 4 720 p Hd recording is realistically smooth without any jams or frame rates issue there is no need to buy a camcorder now, I still find smasung Galaxy HD recording jerky loosing frame rates, but its not fault of Samsung its coz of Android itself, its still little unstable compared to Apple platform.
4) Both phones I phone 4 and samsung Galaxy has gorgeous display.
5) Apple app store is the best right now, tested and firmly believe it, haha there is app for everything, I used android when i tested and used HTC and samsung Galaxy phones and I can say android is still behind,as I told u before they will need time and its gonna be difficult as big developers want money.
6) I phone 4 is expensive , but i think with contract its reasonable now. Plus believe me it has the best resale value then any other phone in the market.
7) After testing phones i figured out that what iphone 4 says it does that, I mean when I tested some HTC and samsung high end phones, I saw that on papers they look good but realistically they actually fail (for eg even a VGA recording is poor and jerky on a HTC high end phones.
I am not saying Samsung Galaxy is a bad phone but what I feel its just any other Android phone just like HTC, motorola android phones, u wont find any difference as they share the same platform, the problem is that these phones fade away after sometime and people will for get them coz of this they are never able to keep there resale value.
last but not least I can guarantee you that you will get bored with other phone and actually will never get bored with Iphone 4, u will know it in 15 days only.
coz of my work I got a privilege to test and benchmark it and actually think of getting as my primary phone.

iphone is a crap phone compared to an android phone. The only good thing is the apps store, over 100,000 apps. well android's got over 75,000 apps. i keep telling this stupid people your only probably lets say each app was 10mb (there some that are even 100mb) 1gb= 1,000mb (estimated)
apple has 32gb maximum which is 32,000mb
32,000/10= 3,200 apps out of 100,000
be realistic your not even going to download 1,000 apps
also why pay more for apps and not a good os (android)
everyone is just buying it for popularity... soon you will realise..
anyhoo samsung wave is going to be the best :)

The Galaxy S runs circles around the Iphone 4. Ive owned the Captivate on ATT for about a week and it is by far the best smart phone I have ever had. Currently playing Street Fighter 2 Turbo on SNES emulator while streaming Avator from phone in 720p to my 42in HDTV all without even having to root it. Tethering to the netbook Im writing this on now for free with EasyTether(still got my unlimited data from Att). Now that is what you call multitasking. The screen is unbelievable, you really have to see it in real life to appreciate it. I dont take many pictures with my phone but the Night Mode on this phone might be a viable substitute for a flash. All in all I agree 100% with this review. Some of you Apple folks really dont know what you're missing out on.

Work supplied everyone with iPhone 4's today and I currently have a Galaxy S as my personal phone so this article really grabbed my attention for obvious reasons. However there is a clear bias towards the Samsung in this article as half their scores and opinions are honestly outrageous when you compare the phones side by side. I must admit I thought I had done the right thing getting a Galaxy, bigger screen, amoled, no antennegate etc... But it is just chalk and cheese. The screen is just so responsive, the UI so much quicker and the overall feel of the phone is far more fun. The app store is brilliant in comparison and the only thing I have missed today is my widgets :( Antenna issue hasn't hit me yet though, so you may get an unhappy review from me later on if it is as bad as they say!

Honestly - iTunes? Thats why I do not want an iPhone
iTunes is the worst and slowest thing ever
thats all I hear is problems with people syncing or using a new computer and nothing works or they lose all their music or something
iTunes is garbage and the reason why I will never use iPod/iPhone
I prefer to drag my media to sd card and/or internal storage without having to use that error prone piece of garbage iTunes

I-phone 3GS official price in India: Rs.40750/- (No freedom of having choose your own operator! The sales girl @ istore actually told me that I was "entitled" to use iphone only in case I was using it with specific Operator, which means to me that I have to change my 12 years old cell number..what the....)

Seriously the people who think a apple ipod has the best quality sound should just try out creative zen or the microsoft zune's. IT IS FACT THAT YOU GET SHYT HEADPHONES WITH A IPOD. How can many people with that shyt....could even know what amazing sound quality could be?
The clarity and bass sounds so dull on a ipod!
a simple way to show you guys how a ipod sounds like is to load up winamp on your pc on normal equalizers then switch it on ROCK and hear the clarity with great bass.

I have a MacBook pro, and hoped that itunes would be more acceptable on a Mac than on windows. For me, it doesn't. I hate iTunes so much compared to other media library programs, such as the excellent jriver media player, that I have made up my mind that I won't use it anymore. Which means that I'll have to ditch my iPhone 3G, and not upgrade to the 4g. So soon my next phone will be the galaxy. Mainly because of iTunes. Many may like iTunes, but tastes differ and I find it incomprehensible that apple forces me to use a particular program for my music library.

Guys, I think Samsung Galaxy should win. You can see how many advantages of that phone compare to Iphone 4 ? This phone is just great, btw this is their specs. When looking into the apps, Samsung Galaxy is totally wicked. With Wifi tethering and many others, this phone deserve to WIN !
(GO SAMSUNG) but, I don't hate Apple. Their products are just fine.
