Is it a joke or what. One sim active at the same time? Ridiculous phone by Nokia again. Samsung is offering quite wide aassortment of nice DOUZ terminals with really good working two sim work at the same time. Nokia is going to collapce on most market segments - no good smartphones so far, Symbian drawbacks in most their phones can't compete to android/iphone, cheaper quality of many their products.
before buying something check all the details which is well available on website always.NOKIA never said it is dual Sim. it is clearly mentioned (no dual standby)......
do you know about the next apple iphone5??
http://drmgadgets.blogspot.com/ for news about it.
This is an instant fail.
If I buy a dual sim phone I expect both simcards to work simultaneously. And the fact that it isn't tri-band is a big miss !
Then again if you really want something totally basic/cheap, you are not a traveller and don't mind switching simcards in the menu every so often it could be a good buy !
nokia always making a stupit things it's 21c just now to remember make dull sim mobil but very amenzing it will not worke same time!!!????? wohooooo better we buy in market dull sim adapter in market and use with any mobil phon. nokia is maiking shittttt.
so,wat to do wid this type of dual sim phone?one sim at one time.
So what's the use of this Nokia C1-00 when only one sim is active at all time.
Nothing interesting, 01 Oct 2010I wonder why Nokia didn't decided to isue something like E52 but with dual simNokia's biggest customers are telcos, who would rather not make it easy for you to use a competitor's sim. I believe this phone is intended for poorer countries where not all can afford even a basic phone, but they may have a sim card. So, such persons can mount the sim in their friend's phone and borrow the phone to make calls from their own sim when they need to.
Anonymous, 02 Oct 2010use lessYes ur currect its not dual sim, just attached one extra sim card trey but usless.
Hai every one!
Did u know ? The nokia company was cheeted people hops. Why beacoz c1 mobile is very very bad & verust phone its not dual sim,i'll compleant in mobi foram.
This would make an excellent 'gap year' phone for people off to see the world.
As 95% of usage will be outgoing so swapping between the 2 sims is not much of an issue, so you can have one international sim and one local.
As it's cheap it wont be the end of the world if you get drunk one night and leave it in a bar and your much less likely to get mugged than if your wandering around some strange city with an expensive smartphone in your hand.
The flashlight is a handy feature for travelers.
But probably the most important thing is the excellent standby and talk time.
The only slight disadvantage is it's not tri-band which would have cost Nokia minimal cost but made this phone a true international backpackers mobile.
I wonder why Nokia didn't decided to isue something like E52 but with dual sim
useless it is without dual-sim standby...
m sorry nokia, it's not going to sell in poor countries as well... due to everything china...
Its good that you have corrected a mistake in your review about the series of this phone. But why you people have deleted my comment. Its not a shame in accepting these little mistakes.
nice :) good move from nokia , two sim card , it ip late :) be not bad :) wel done nokia , please work so hard , and made good smartphone
Richie, 29 Sep 2010Why NOKIA why???
This is a complete waste of everyone's time and an unnecessary addition to t... moresome frequent travellers have a different SIM card for every country they visit. a device like this allows one to carry & use these SIM cards with a device that gets great reception and is very reliable at minimal costs. With a device like this one changes the active SIM card when one crosses the border.
All mobile phone users are not rich. For many the mobile phone is an tool that aids there business. If costs are all important to one there are many reason$ that two sim cards are superior to one.
