(booth phones have IDENTICAL GPU = WAVE is FASTER because have GREAT CPU)
But A11-680Mhz consumes less energy than A8-1GHz. If the OS doesn't need the higher spec CPU, why wasting the battery life?
2. N8 - Symbian vs BADA (speed test) - NO CHANCE vs Wave!
No, Symbian is a much more established system. Most forecasters say bada will have 0% market share 4 years from now on, i.e., bada will go extinct.
3. N8 - NO LED for VIDEO - NO CHANCE vs Wave!
Let's wait for the reviews.
The Xenon flash in the N8 will totally kick theh wave's butt in still photography.
4. N8 - VIDEO is 25fps vs 30fps (better CPU) - NO CHANCE vs Wave!
If you really need 30fps, then I agree that wave is better here. However, you should also be prepared for the larger file size.
5. N8 - old AMOLED vs Super AMOLED (you must see) - NO CHANCE vs Wave!
The N8 uses AMOLED CBD, which according to Engadget is on par with super AMOLED.
6. N8 - only 256 mb of RAM vs 512mb - NO CHANCE vs Wave!
Symbian^3 can use 1GB virtual RAM. 1GB VS 512MB. enough said.
7. N8 - 1200 battery vs 1500 - NO CHANCE vs Wave!
bada is a resource hog compared to Symbian, no wonder it needs a battery with a larger capacity.
8. N8 - NOT have mobile AP - NO CHANCE vs Wave!
The N8 can use mobile AP via app. Additionally, it has direct tethering via USB & Bluetooth, and it also supports ad-hoc networks, does wave?
9. N8 - 360 x 640 vs 480 x 800 pixels - NO CHANCE vs Wave!
I agree with you on this. But remember that 480x800 will also comsume more battery.
10.N8 is BIGGER and UGLY and wight 135 g vs 118 - NO CHANCE vs Wave!

Anonymous, 07 Oct 2010dude why u r replying to me..my msg was for alui..i was complaining abt my SGS and was telling... moreYUP....samsung sucks. im not surprised why, my roomate's SGS really sucks......just a good screen but cant multitask....im thankful i got a nokia phone phone with multiple apps open and perfectly working. if only nokia can organize all apps it could surpass iphone's app store...u can find plenty of nokia apps elsewhere......wait for symbian 4 and meego...itll blow apple away....

u just cant accept sgs is very cheap... im proud nokia has its own OS. SGS is using a 3rd party OS. the only thing they can brag is the SAMOLED which will soon be outperformed by AMOLED BLACK CLEAR DISPLAY. are u aware that even a 600mhz ARMchip could be pushed upto 1ghz but nokia just dont wanna do it for the sake of the battery. cheap plastic + rd party os + samoled = SGS...HAHA...accept the fact samsung chose plastic for cost cutting sake....it doesnt even have a flash for its camera. relying on a 3rd party OS.

Border, 07 Oct 2010sorry gsmarena, but i dont trust you anymore! this phone is slow with ugly OS and Nokia fail ... morewhat is the main purpose of a good looking OS? nothing...it just looks good. and at least the N8 dosen't need "Bumper Casings"...

The N8 is amazing, best phone i have ever used, and i have used alot, and all operating systems out there, and the N8 is the phone i liked most !
NOTE: People, no matter what anyone says, the N8 is the cameraphone king, and the pix it takes are stunning ! the best i saw from a phone till now and i saw alot ! Other than that its the best phone i have ever used.
- If ur thinking of buying it, do NOT hesitate it is wonderful !

haha--- admit it theres no perfect phone. even iphone and sgs have issues...so dont ever compare ur cheap sgs and antenna faulty iphone with n8.. for now lags could be an issue but that is totally considerable cause it was just released...atleast no antenna or hardware issue. n8 is not cheap....

Anonymous, 07 Oct 2010hey how come sgs sold more than 5 mil alrdy and pre-order of n8 are next to none ? n8 just started....exceeded preorder sales and expection. samsung didnt surpass nokia's top selling 1100 to date...and SGS is just composed of crappy plastic. n8 is full metal anodised ur so funny comparing n8 to thaT CHEAP SGS RELYING ON A 3rd party OS haha....

Remember guys, you don't say Windows 7 is crap cos Windows Vista was crap. Windows 7 is pretty frigging awesome.
S60 5th edition = Vista
Symbian^3 = Windows 7
And after having used the N8 for a week now, I love it more day by day and I wouldnt trade it for any other current phone even if you gave me 3 of them.

Anonymous, 07 Oct 2010symbian is not suitable now even for grandma. sticking to it is like sticking to u'r kindergar... moreits like u r sticking to windows xp which is very good ..rather than going to half baked android..check the battery life..i charge twice a day with no live wallpapers..multitasking is so bad dont even come close to symbian..symbian looks simple but very matured OS..

almost 80 % of you have used nokia before.
just coz the last 2 flagships failed miserably, does not mean the N8 is a bad phone.
and if it plays 720p, takes 12mp(better thank digicams), and gives a good battery backup, there is no reason the phone wont be a big hit.
ppl are just scared to put money on nokia at the moment.
i used the N95, n96 and N97.
the 97 did piss me off a lot, and the wave made me feel it was god of phones after. but, if this phone turns out to be what it looks like, i will definitely go for it.
