[deleted post]when it comes to camera, nokia has never won any department. be it 2 mp, 3mp, 5mp, 8mp or 12mp. this should clear the air.

I've never met the Queen that doesn't mean she doesn't exist. Logically as android and apple are newer than Nokia you would find it harder to find someone who has had 1 android handset and moved to nokia especially as recent nokias have been questionable. You may well meet a few more who go back now!

i would too go for an android. their graphics are good and they are much more snappier

I would rather pay few more bucks and buy a much better Android phone, with more specs. They are really very very snappy and fast besides providing much better eye candy and features than the Symbian.
Google is a verrrrryyyyyyy big and successful company and its Android OS is way better than the Nokia's Symbian. I will never another Nokia because all their products are fail. Android and iOS rule!!!

[deleted post]My SGS has no GPS problem. I post here in case someone without experience looks for a Nokia N8. I never met someone who switched from iPhone or Android to Nokia, but I met a lot of ppl who switched from Nokia to iPhone and Android and they will never go back.

After the X6 experience if you thing I will get burned again with the N8, you are just wrong. I rather wait for Tegra 2 chip smartphones due by the end of the year. Anyway the SGS satisfies all my requests from a SMARTPHONE. I have free GPS nationally (unlimited data plan). Abroad, I just use Trapster to avoid the speed cameras, I do not mind paying 2 Euros for an app that does not piss me of. (I have a satnav on the car, but without the speed cameras).

Wow. awesome phone. hardware is tops. sadly, ui sucks. i always prefer nokia phones due to its build quality. i'm into samsung wave now since the build quality of samsung wave is some kinda at par with nokia. and ui for me is way better. but for apps support, my nokia E52 is way way better than my samsung wave.
meego got me interested. even the maemo of N900. but unfortunately was not used in this phone. sad.

Mark, 07 Oct 2010Oh for heavens sake, have you learned how to spell the street name correctly? And how on earth... moreI used the X6 for navigation to avoid speed cameras. The funny thing about Jean Engling street (as read from the street sign), appears as JOHN Engling on OVI maps. No matter how many Kb you download abroad, you still pay for each 2MB. Did I mention the Ovi maps, ultra-annoying pop-ups about connecting to the server (no matter what you select for the answer, yes or no, they appear again over an over again. I tried everything, online/offline, A-GPS, no A-GPS, still behaviour was the same. Oh, and last time I use it in UK, the OVI maps just froze.

Also, why would anyone compare an S60 5th device with the SGS? Compare it to the N8, or better the C7, I think the C7 and the SGS are a better match, since the N8 is so much better. :)

i do not hate nokia, i just tell the truth. nokia+symbian is worse than top android phones.
