        Alui, 11 Oct 2010Here's the new link: http://www.glbenchmark.com/result.jsp?benchmark=glpro11Mm, there does not seem to be any 1.1 testing for N8 though. Not that is matters really, the games so far look silky smooth.

        :)

          This phone is not good. Resistive is better. What if you're wearing gloves? That means you cannot use this phone. And just like other nokia users in the past that criticized the iphone's capacitive screen, I say that resistive touch has more accuracy than capacitive. So just like nokia fans who said before that that the iphone's capacitive screen is inferior to resistive, I say that this is an inferior phone too :)

            [deleted post]Ha ha ha ha ha!!!

            Android comes at a huge cost - selling your soul to Google. It's bad enough that they have their finger in your browsing, your email, sniffing your wifi with their street view cars etc etc etc, now you want them to have control of your mobile phone too? Good for you.... :D

            And I always thought that Symbian was open source now... therefore free... but I obviously no nothing and you are the expert here! :D

                No phone today should be without "Track and Protect" or "Find my phone" (of course if it has gps). Damn those thiefs, they stole my Samsung Omnia HD, too. If they steal my SGS or X6 I can find them and send them to a parallel universe.

Someone who said that :D But no no, he may as well be a real heavy texter. I'm pretty serious(sadly). There are so many people out there who type email length texts using sentences such as this. hi, had T@mall n ws gr8! I personally, get nauseous reading that, and I'd seriously die writing it. I have no idea how writing full words isn't appreciated. I love it. It looks great, and it's lovely to read. Plus, I appreciate it when I get a text with words like this comment. I mean, I feel the person has brains, plus, really means whatever he has written, much more than someone who would use shorts. The shorts were used only because it cost a lot and the amount of characters you could feasibly put were much less than now. But people, most of them sadly, forget why they did it, and carry on with it, because well, they simply, did it!

My Inbox has close to 200 msgs and it scrolls nicely just at small flick and open the message quickly. My wife has a Nokia 5233. Definitely a BIG improvement on the UI front here. It is sleek and really fast. Same applies to browsing through photos in flip/album mode. I have have 240 photos migrated from N73. Just need a tiny flick to scroll (Yes same as Iphone!!! or should say better) Yet to load music. This phone come with unlimited music download from Ovi music store free of cost. Only data charges apply. But then over my unlimited home internet-WIFI, it doesn;t cost me either. The phone is inteligent to try for my WIFI. If that is not available, it goes thru GPRS.

But there's another twist to the tale. I'm also a camera-crazy guy. If the only tiny change in E7 would've been an auto-focus, I would've gone for it with no doubts at all. But fixed focus is something i really can't compromise on. I previously owned a N86 for a short while last year. It was a dream phone for me; with perfect study(a bit heavy) design as well as satisfactory UI. But it got stolen:-(

                            @Kintaro

                            Yes you are quite right. Totally agreed. It's just that the 160-character limit per SMS; and the fact that sometimes, joined SMSs take longer to reach has turned me into quite a cryptic texter; which also reflects in my usual typing!

Are you typing this on your phone? You know its 1000% better if you actually typed all the letters of a word instead of using really cryptic text shorthand, even in actual SMS.

If you are heavy texter, you may want to wait for Nokia E7 launching this quarter. It has the same hardware specs of N8 but with a physical keyboard and larger 4.0 in screen . Multitasking is improved as it is a new OS. Not unlike the earlier S60 with added touch UI on 5233/5800. OS is stable so far, no glitches but its been few hours only :-) Sound quality is good although it has only one speaker in the back unlike two in N73. But this one speaker produces Dolby effect very well and is quite loud. The speaker near the camera, the slot below the lens. It paired well with my BT and connected to Interent through my WIFI. I believe you can get this from Nokia Priority stores only from today cost will be between 25-26.3K.
