I disagree with all the "outdated UI" comments... I'm comfortable using Symbian S60, and I would not trade it for the dumbed down iphone-style UI. I'm glad Nokia has kept the menus in place on the N8 for those of us who want to do something more than a few simple tasks.

People whi say that the N8 looks Cheap just feel envy! its an amazing well constructed phone that looks and feel like a tank like my old N91 but without the weight and i can use it without that ugly cover that all Iphoners use ajhhahjahj my N8 wont break like an Iphone! and yes the Iphone looks great but its like having Pamela Anderson in a Burka!!
ps All Samsungs are an ugly piece of Plastic crap who are as Cheap as made in china!

even though the wave was a brilliant phone, games ... morethx man u just helped me to confirm my mind to buy this cellphone...
even after reading the review i was a little confused but after reading what u wrote i'm sure that am taking this baby home....

i went to the mall a few hours ago and found a "just a dummy" N8 there, the built was so beautiful and fits comfortably in my hand... anyway i own a samsung wave flashed to 1.2 bada FW, now i'm openned to buy a 2nd fon the N8, hehehe

I let go my samsung wave for the Nokia N8.
even though the wave was a brilliant phone, games like NFS Shift and Kroll would keep crashing. even while playig Asphalt, the phone would heat up.
if email exchange was used, the otherwise awesome battery would drain in a day.
The Nokia N8 seems to be the right balance.
the CORRECT amount of ram, REALLY POWERFUL Graphics, and a decent processor make it nice to use.
(Pretty sure the processor will be OVERCLOCKED soon by some hackers :))
I would like to try 750 - 800 GHz)
this would hopefully not strain the battery too much.
I would also like to thank nokia for making the OS better to work with rather than focussing on Eye candy.
i am sure the future upgrades will be great. till then, the never ending linup of themes and animation softwares are fine.
i find it funny how the trolls come up here and keep bashing this phone, even if they dont own it. there are enough people on this planet for all the smartphones to co-Exist....
The best thing about the Nokia N8 is that even after a year when there as a phone challenging the face of the mobile world with crazy specs, the Nokia N8 can double as a Perfect Digi cam / Video recorder / MP3 Player.
This Phone just cant go Wrong !!!!!!

if screen is a priority, go for galaxy S instead.
But as an all round phone, the Nokia N8 is worth every penny you spend on it.

Yeah, you are totally right. We could rather spend twice as much on a phone that takes a few cents more to manufacture (yip, I am referring to the iPhone). That would make us so much more intelligent.
