The review states that the C7 doesn't play subtitles but it does. Just like the N8 does. Shorten the filename and srt-name from e.g. Stargate.Universe.S01E19.whatever-episode.Part.1.HDTV.XviD-FQM.avi to SGU-S01E19.avi (and its associated .srt-file) and it will play perfectly. The subtitles disappear when the controls appear on the screen and re-appear when the controls vanaish after a second or 2.

Sails, 05 Nov 2010It is so funny how people try to troll about the interface. All you need to do is consider tha... moreSo true. I was using an SGS I9000, then had bought a LG Optimus One P500 cause my SGS was damaged. Sold off the O1 cause it wasn't as fast as touted. Had heard a lot of bad things about symbian, although I had owned a lot of symbian phones earlier. On my birthday, walked into a Nokia showroom, got a demo of the C7, and walked out buying it. All the criticisms about symbian are not even half true. It has improved tremendously and will continue to improve.
By the way, gaming on this phone is absolutely superb.
I couldn't even play angry birds properly on my O1.
what is the difference in price of N 86 and c7
The C7 is Great except… if you love music like me, it does not give you the option of customizing equalizers. You are stuck with Nokia’s preset EQ. Funny, since most of Nokia’s less expensive models and even the E series allows you to add your own Equalizer Settings and save them as presets. SE also made the same mistake with their Satio and Vivaz models, but later added the customizable EQ with updates. Nokia had better release an update with this fixed if they want music lovers to buy the C7 or N8.

C7 is made in Korea or china? please tell me and it it is good case for commercial task?
Unsatisfied C7 Owner, 27 Dec 2010Recently purchased the C7, did originally want the X6 but the shop was sold out so offered me ... moreWell it seems like a factory default. Please send it back to Nokia. Not all Symbian 3 phones do that. Your RAM must be playing up and forcing the phone to restart.
Hope this helped.
I have had this phone for a week now and I enjoy using this phone. Cant wait to get a hold a hard cover and DAB radio :)
Fantastic phone, battery is poor though (only 2 days) and the lock/unlock slide key on the right fell out :(
very poor camera. Anything closer than 60 cm is blurry and lacking detail. Very bad resolution in low light condition. Very bad resolution with high velocity moving objects, the cam on the n97 & n95 is much much better and i'm not talking about minor abberrations or softening on the edges. No i'm talking about u won't use ur cam to take photos of any important event if u care for the memory! I'd compare image quality to lets say the 3.2 mpixel cam on the 5800 or maybe a bit worse
Nokia C7 is fantastic. I am very happy with its stunning look, handy design, vibrant screen and awsome touch features. It is really smart.. Don't hear others.. experience the pleasure yourself...judge it yourself.. don't become part of the OS slogans. Every OS will have its pros and cons... Symbian ^3 is good enough...They are doing a good job by releasing software updates.. You will definitely enjoy the Multimedia features, GPS navigations (no internet required, saves data charges) and unbelievable 8 GB internal + 32 GB external memory... Really worth it..
