I think it is a poor piece of software. All I want to do is copy some music from my PC to my Lumia 710. Zune makes it a very slow and painful experience! What is wrong with the people who decide on the method of doing this? Windows can normally do this kind of thing so well, so why, when I have two windows devices does it have to be so messy? I think it is a good reason to dump Lumia and buy a Samsung, but I think I will check out how they do it first!

i agree-the application has a nice interface..but there are so many disadvantages with a lot of things,that were much simple in nokia suite.
And why is it obligated to install Zune to be able to use the phone??
why is it impossible to use the interface language i prefer??
the files transfer really sucks-it was so easier to move my data as using simple Removable disc...
They always try to be better than apple,so why do they copy iTunes concept??

this Zune app which come with Samsung Omnia7 sucks big time! Not asking for much! Why on earth cann't they just make a simple transparent app which everybody can use. It should be very simple to do that! Why?

I have used iTunes from version 4.xx and I was looking for a software to replace it, not because I had a problem with that, but I decided to move away from the Apple interface and software. I downloaded and installed Microsoft Zune desktop edition. Sound and video are great. I live the visual and everything, but one thing, the interface is not at all as easy as iTunes. I have flip through pages constantly while in iTunes everything was in control in the same window. 10 out of 10 for visuals and interface, 3 out of 10 for navigation.

i got zunehd 32gb and it works awesome with the zune software.
i like the animation in the background when you play songs.
i also like the artist pics that are randomly distributed once you sync your zunehd.
the software is very smooth.

Just started using the Zune desktop software, and it far outclasses iTunes when it comes to visuals. It has become my media player when I want to listen to songs, watch videos, or look at pix. I still prefer organizing my multimedia stuff through iTunes, but for media playback, Zune takes the cake. Will use it more than Picasa 3.

I once tried Zune on mine Desktop PC. (not on the phone) Well for companly like Microsoft i was expecting a lot more (thats the usual feeling tovards MS). They do not even understand what means free in their "Free trial" wich requers payment to use for 14 days....

Regarding the missing calendar and contacts sync option in Zune software, you guys are completely missing the point: WP7 has such an awesome Exchange ActiveSync support that works perfectly with Gmail, Hotmail and so on that it would be just silly to not use it.
Those things make a "phone" a "smartphone", so why wishing to go back in time and functionality and do a much less useful PC-synching?

I like the OS I think Microsoft messed up by not letting the mfg's do what they needed to do to give Windows phone 7 some user friendliness. I still think it needs expandable memory,task manager & a file manager. I mean our phones are becoming our computers away from the office. I would like to add or take away what I need & don't need.

Had this for ages, really works well, better than itunes and windows media player, only drawback for me is that it doesn't sync with devices other than zune

Zune is so much better than itunes. I just drag my hd films/shows to the zune icon in the corner and it just transfers it to the phone.
HD shows look awesome on my SAMOLED screen.

And I LOVE how I can leave my phone charging downstairs and go upstairs and select albums on zune and It wirelessly downloads them to the Windows Phone 7 without doing anything.
The phone easily beats the iphone now.

The Zune Pass is the best system out there if you listen to music.
It's £89 for a year and with that I have UNLIMITED downloads or streams . And virtually every album/single released is on there and as a bonus It also works on my PC and XBOX.
Just for the Zune pass It has been my best choice since moving from iphone.
