hey...i have changed my keyboard settings to android, it comes with three possible settings: normal, qwerty and android. Since I have changed to android , I am not able to get back to my normal settings. This is cool but I would like to know. Thanks

@master f puppet : hey bro , i do have an aircel an bought the lg p500 recently, but cant seem to get the pocket internet right, tried what u had suggested. is there a specific tab to enable gprs??. i nust enabled aircel gprs

For those who are suffering from Aircel Pocket Internet which is not connecting to apps:.. I got it fixed.. follow my instruction
goto Settings-> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile Networks
In mobile networks -> Access Point Names -> Click New APN
Name - Aircel GPRS
APN - aircelgprs.po
proxy -
Port -
Username -
Password -
Server -
MMSC -
MMS proxy -
MMS port -
MCC - 404
MNC - 41
Authentication type - None
APN type - default (Important don't forget to write/set default)
save it and select Aircel GPRS and enable gprs mode.. you should be able to use all the applications which uses internet..

I also had problems when first updating the software on my P500 where it reached 4% and stopped. Had to remove the battery and replace it to reboot it. I was lucky because the phone still worked. This happened twice then I installed pc suite on another pc and the update worked. I think (hope) that it was just part of a bigger problem with connecting the phone to pc suite iv and running synch & backup.
This was on a computer running WinXp SP3 Media Centre Editon and I got the "The device cannot be opened because another program is currently using it" message every time I tried to connect. The only way to connect was by plugging the phone into the pc with the usb cable then powering the phone off, then on again and then I had problems where the phone just stopped responding mid operation.
The problem was with Media Center Scheduler and I solved it by stopping and disabling it in Administrative Tools / Services. No more connection problem. I don't use MC anyway so it wasn't a problem for me and I have yet to see if disabling it permanently affects any media file operations.

hi i bought this phone almost a month ago it has got nice battery backup wonderful features and lot of ram.Ram is actually(256+192mb that's448Mb out of which 419 MB is for applications and rest for threshold.
the phone is nice but not for gaming if you plan to play high end games. playing angry birds is fun with 3g off but it hangs a lot. waiting till it gets the gingerbird upgrade the best android for gaming and it doesn't hang like the nokia s60 smartphones good one from LG.

Do O1 need task killer like ATK ? I heard that Froyo don't really need task killer. Is it true? I am using ATK and battery is good (a day on normal usage).

hi guys i bought my optimus 2 days ago and now i see a very serious problem in the phone i.e- dust enters inside the screen and what happens after say a month,i searched the web and saw people facing this problem a lot , so guys do notice the dust in daylight on the lower part of the screen which is quite irritating , can anyone help me clean it ,how but ,poor build quality is what is responsible here anyways otherwise it rocks

hey friends ,
I have bought my phone 15 days back and
now I have serious problem with it . It eats
up my battery really quickly. With 4- 5 hours
of continuous usage it drains my battery .
The application pops up out of nowhere
even after closing it properly , I have
installed task killer as well but it is of no
use . I even went to LG workshop in
pitampura New Delhi where they updated
my software but it don ' t help either .
I am very fed up, can my phone be
replaced ? please help me , for this I shall
always be obliged.

i bought my optimus one two weeks ago and its awesome on its feature
before buying this i strongly copared it with galaxy3 but i found that it had got a more better ram (twice of it)and more better quality screen than that,and it had got two qwerty key pad to make typing more simple.and battery back up is great,even build quality is superb and because of this my friends are very much jealous of my last but not the least optimus one

For guys who bricked their phone while updating, did you updated your os from your homesite or not?, that is if you are living in india kindly update the phone from lg india otherwise it will brick since the updates are location specific!
