It does support plain GPS without A-GPS, i have data services deactivated and can still use the gps with IGO for android. Works well, connects fast and has a solid connection.

hi guys ..
i badly want to buy a new phone .. the budget is between inr 10,000 - 15,000 .. my preferences are
1. android
2. 5 mp cam wit flash wit auto focus
3. mutli touch
4. good web browser
5. good resolution screen
6. good battery
i have short listed d moto quench xt5 and the lg p500 optimus one
which is better ?? pls pls help me .. if there are any other phones suggest me ..

i plan to buy this phone but from the review it is not clear if this phone supports only A-GPS or both a-gps and standalone gps. If anyone has some information, please share. Thanks

I don´t actually know why you think this phone is ugly.. I see none of that! It´s a solid phone with a nice steel touch.
And the 10 hours of active using. I don´t know where from was that information. Maybe when you have WIFI, GPS still on, maybe than but in other way ???? not a chance!!
I have this phone for a month now and I call so about 2 hours a day , use 3GSM network connectivity and about 2hours of WIFI daily and I get at least 48hours of battery life. Of course I do switch all not nesecery programs off because I do not need them to run.
All for all this is one hell of a mobile phone (for that money)

is it a good phone comapard to the galaxy 3(now that it has froyo)?
it uses the stock android look all the way to the core, is it better compared to the custom UIs like TOUCHWIZ or MOTOBLUR?does it suffer huge performance issues?

I brought it from HongKong to Canada. This is an entry level android phone, it's cheap BUT it's a great, the designed and functionality are excellence. I love it and ton of apps from android market for users. I linked up to facebook and gmail as well, now it can replace my netbook...!

Yesterday, This phone 2 million units sold already globally. Way to go LG!! Destroy Samsung Galaxy S! And I heard they will release the super monster high-end level dual core powered smartphone in a few months. It seems like they are becoming the best smartphone company in the world.

When you have found a goodsoftware, we would appreciate you share with the rest; where and how you downloaded the swype keyboard. I have downloaded the swype Keyboard too it is from andriod market "slideIT Keygoard"(free) try it highly recommended "one of the best keyboard I have found and used todate.

This is an okay phone. Why not good? coz of an awful battery life. One full charge and it drains out in 10 hours flat with normal use! don't know what to do. Else I love android, its a true google thing, simple and powerful.
