i think the diffrence in s.e vs samsung is the quality.for example in glaxy2 1080p & in arc is 720p.samsung is folish cz in mobile can u imagine 1080p video....not realy surely.like sony u hve 2 improve the quality of video 720p not go2 1080p cz dat,s mobile not a digital or dslr cameras..my greatest wish is dat sony defeat the samsung in display reality vs super amoled plus

After using satio and x10 SE is the worst firmware update phone company. Yes SE have look but at the end what matter to me is they after sell update. SE never keep they promise.
So I will not buy any SE phone till they charger.

This is indeed looks like a nice phone...which carrier will it be offered by in the US? AT&T? If so, AT&T still has not made a decision to upgrade the OS on the Xperia X10 to 2.0, it is still running on 1.6. So, I am not sure when the ARC will be available in the US.

one thing i like about nokia and sony is that their phones have an unique design unlike samsung, always trying to copy i phone. But this one is a real beauty.People buy phone looking at it and knowing whether it has all the requirements they want.So no use criticizing a phone because if people like it they will buy it.So instead of reading a comment and buying a phone.just go and check when its released and buy it.Some people are so foolish. They just comment even before seeing a full working and loaded phone

Very good phone. Very usable and a real eye candy. There's no point in wanting all in a phone. There is no perfect thing, even humans are. Dual core's are not necessary now because of power usage. I will not be a beta tester for dual core phone that will sell with high price. As long as this phone hits the reasonable (maybe like x10 on launch) price then I see no point in complaining. I have n8 and am eagerly waiting for this as replacement. And I saw someone complaining about headphone slot at d side, there are curved headsets. See N95 and BBs?

I am not a total fan of SE. I like their phones because of the way they come out with their designs. Hardware and software wise? It is an epic failure. I bought SE X10 mini last December 2010, i love the way it was formed. Very handy and good camera, the sliding keyboard is heaven on earth for my fingers. It really impressed me as this little thing running on an Android OS is so amazing to look at and to carry around. I had no complaints about how the hardware was built all together. SE s*ucks when it comes to their after sales support. For instance, software updates are delayed and limited. I felt robbed by the company as they seem to disregard and ignore the EXPERIA phone line by limiting it's OS to 2. something! While other phone companies are always up to date in releasing their updates. Is SE wants to be op top i guess they have to work on that area. Providing us with UPDATES is a great service! I understand it is business and $$$$ matters. However, if that is the only goal they have they would probably end up to nothing! SE stop selling phones that you cannot support!!!!! Start selling phones that can be improved and would not be out to date in a few months with the OS. I sold my Mini Pro and got an Iphone 3gs. Goodluck with the ARC, i lost my confidence with SE>.

"XPERIA Arc feels as smooth as butter"

Smooth? No lag? That's not what I saw in the video. It wasn't smooth at all. It felt like somebody walking in tar. The snappiness was missing.

I have to say, that Gingerbread with 1 GHz CPU doesn't impress me at all. Android really isn't that good of an OS as people claim it to be. It's inefficient and power hungry. It still has a long way to go to achieve Symbian's efficiency. With 1 GHz processor Symbian would be flying. Android would probably require ~1,3 GHz CPU to do the same. And that would of course eat the battery even faster than now. But I guess Android users don't care about battery life.

I think your info is wrong
first of all which chip will SE use , Tegra ? i dont think so , still their chip cub contractor did not produce a market the dual core .

on the other hand if they have a better phone than Arc , this meant that SE have already but Arc in the grave yard , do you agree ?

and finally I think all mobile phones have come to the understanding that 5 MP and 8 MP cameras are sufficuent for the mobile phones

I wish that SE can show something better to us in 20 days , our desire for better phones has no end , but i dont think soo

myself I have asked the local SE agency here for anything better then Arc , the reply was simply no , , Arc will be the flagship for this period

the only hype that you will get now is the SE PLAY and the rest will be successors of x10 pro , x 10 mini
