640 hours of battery standby is not true. The longest I've tested it only lasts for 30 hrs, or even less. The phone is still great for its price range.

LOL, how come the review didn't mention about the phone's screenshot feature triggered by a long press of the back button + home button? The display may not be so good, but the phone still rocks :)

this phone has style optimus one is an ugly phone even if ace is slower i will still go for it. I am buying this.

I'm planning to buy an Android phone, I'm totally confused whether to buy Optimus 1 or Samsung Ace. Please suggest me which one is a better go. The below features are a must for me.
1. I do lot of texting, so better touch performance.
2. Battery life.
3. Sound clarity(This is a must), I only listen on earphones. I do have a pair of sennheiser earphones so doesn't matter with the earphones which comes with the phone.
4. Speed.
I like the Ace the way it looks, obviously every one should like it because it's a copy of iPhone.
I prefer performance than the look. So please suggest accordingly.

Anonymous, 10 Feb 2011hey omkar....pls put sum light on da battery life...as in pls compare if it will last a day if... morebattery life is not very good...if u use wifi and gaming then it would last 10 hrs max to max.ram is also a bit low..(278 mb).recently i found that it cant play hd 720p videos..i have been using this fon for 10 days..bt still i luv this fon(better than lg optimus and htc wildfire).

and there is no comparison betwen lg optimus and Samsung galaxy ace!

You do feel strongly about this right..are you from LG marketing?
I have the cell and with my recommendation 2 other guys in Pune and bangalore have bought it, so yes we have dared! Hi Hi Hi :)
But seriously,I have no doubt Optimus one is on heck of a phone and i would have got it if not for Ace.
Screen is not at all bad, well not as crisp as optimus one but I prefer a larger screen than 20% crisper look (My choice)
I want a better camera and flash (again My choice over music quality)
BTW music in stoch headphone of ace is crappy, put n another half decent earphone its pretty good actually.
Biggest problem with Optimus one was an issue of "dust accumulation in LCD screen" and repeated restarting of phone which has been reported by many users. Just didnt want to take the risk. But again this might be issue in 1% of cell sold.

Please don't go for this Samsung Galaxy Ace which is not worth to go for. I am looking for someone who can dare to buy this bloody phone. Ofcourse, it is more advanced than LG Optimus One and HTC Wildfire and I have used LG Optumus One and HTC Wildfire too. I am planning to switch back to LG Optimus One as its screen is more clarity than other two. The main disadvantage of Galaxy Ace is having LCD display which has more brightness and poor sound quality even though it has a speaker in its back.
I strongly suggest you to go for LG Optimus One.
