In china the price of LG optimus 2x dropped to almost 500 US dollar, and Samsung Galaxy S2 costs 900 US dollar for pre order, i dont think there should not be head to head comparison, as per other websites LG 2x is good phone, but Samsung galaxy S2 is best phone, but for good and best i need to pay 400 US dollar????????????

i like the 15:9 aspect ratio of galaxy s2.... the best display to be deploy is LASER display screen... the likes of mitsubishi laservue screen.. no one can beat laser screen in terms of lifespan and color .... and sharpness.. and brightness

What good is a fast GPU if it has no support from game developers, I mean nVidia.

I have searched some info about a "Super AMOLED" and its "Burn-In" effect and seams that about 35% of "Super AMOLED" users are telling that their screens are affected by Burn-In effect. And that is pretty sad!

It would be useful to know more official news about "Super AMOLED Plus" lifetime and "Burn-In" effect, I think it may be a big disadvantage! :(

something is not right with the galaxy s II's gpu.the galaxy s runs shrek cart way smoother and samsung themselves boasted bout their new gpu, am sure after some tweaks its true power would be visible to see.

The Galaxy S II is nice, but really, you can get the LG 2X now on ebay for around the $600 mark outright, as opposed to the SGS II which is going to retail for about the same price as a 3G Xoom tablet ($899)

So, really, what are you getting for that extra $300?? Just a bigger, better screen??

IMO, the LG 2X (although its an LG) is by far the best value for $$

I dunno, this review seems to favor the Galaxy SII. I feel like you didn't speak on the LG phone at all. More like "How the LG doesn't meet up with the SII specs". I wan another opinion.

It would be nice to have the Atrix go head to head as well. Better still once all the phones have had there 2.3 upgrade can we have another review?

Also there was no mention that I noticed about the amount of multi touch points each phone can register. I believe the LG is actually multi touch and the Samsung is Dual touch which is fine for pinch and zoom but doesn't offer any competition to the iPhone 4

Mali 400 the gpu of GS2 is the biggest let down of the device. It is clearly the slowest gpu out there. Samsung should have gone either with tegra 2 or PowerVR SGX543MP2.
