Anonymous, 25 Apr 2011Not many would buy atrix over sqmsung s2That is a proven fact, for some reason the sgs 2 sells better. IMHO the atrix SHOULD outsell the sgs2, maybe better marketing? honestly the atrix has basically the same hardware, except for screen. I guess the 8MP is a big selling point to non-geek consumers.
The motorola Atrix is a wonderful phone. Comparable hardware to the SGS 2, only .2 ghz of diference which you could overclock (and in the real world wouldn't make a difference you can account) and since both have 1gb of ram both SHOULD be able to multitask equally well and the 5MP camera still manages to take good pictures vs 8MP.
The only drawback in the camera (for now) is the non-FullHD recording which motorola says will be taken care of later this year.
Now the Atrix has a much higher pixel density than the SGS 2 and a way better battery life. which gsmarena "forgot" to mention on the last words comparison.
I've come to notice GSMArena is biased towards SGS and SGS 2.

to my previous comment, I have read more about MHL and it sounds great...
but then again... Im ok with standard hdmi cable...
Laurynas, 22 May 2011Samsung Galaxy S II also has MHL (A/V link).Yes, but whats the point of having an extra accessory? I rather just go around with my hdmi cable... and no adapter that could get misplace.
and its not even include in the SGS2 package...
They are slightly different oriented devices... Atrix fits nicely for my needs
Review is incorrect. The phone can operate without a sim. Also I and 1000's users have been getting random reboots cause my a kernel panic. Motorola can u please fix!
Commone Motorola..when u will upgrade the Atrix to Gingerbread n ur 1080 camera..Pls mark ur word!! Dont make Atrix a Looser!!

Anonymous, 25 Apr 2011Not many would buy atrix over sqmsung s2I did, and even when the Galaxy S 2 has many features better than those on the atrix, the ability to simply plug a mini HDMI to the phone and TV is nice... Also 4" screen is perfect... 4.3" a bit big.
Atrix has all I wanted. Fingerprint reader, TV out, nice audio quality... and more than enough power
Got my Atrix today in the UK through Orange today after sending back my Sony Arc due to wifi dropouts and no zoom capability while taking high res pics unless you pay for an app from market.
Looking forward to it and got it free on an 18 month contract with a free work and play kit.
Really liking the feedback from reviews and user opinions so looking forward using this dual core baby....
I'm no fanboy and am not loyal to any particular manufacture. I could have got the Galaxy S2 but after my horrible experience with the i8910 I swore I never touch another bug filled Samsung mobile again....
So, any unjaded, biased user help and tips about this phone would be greatly appreciated :)
Cheers One and All :)

All your freaking problems are fake.
I'm using ATRIX also, and more than a month, and it is working great.
1. Picture quality is great.
2. Doesn't hang at all.
3. Fingerprint scanner is useful.
4. 1GB RAM = best for multi-tasking & Laptop dock
5. Build quality is simply the best + feels good while holding it.
6. Battery can last a day with heavy usage.
7. Laptop dock can be use as a clock, charger.
what is needed is Dual SIM and a Slider QWERTY

and with 2.3 is god of smartphone I don't think that at the moment Motorola Atrix is the most powerful phone in the world because:
Motorola Atrix: Dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 proccessor.
Samsung Galaxy S II: Dual-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A9 proccessor.

I've had this phone since the day of its release. Its hast not put a single toe out of line. This review mentions the Galaxy S as a worthy competitor I disagree. I upgraded from a Galaxy S phone (Captivate). The performance of the Atrix absolutely blows the Galaxy S out of the water...though Touchwiz does offer a nicer user experience. Also for those complaining that the review doesn't include the iphone, side by side comparison with the iPhone 4 (AT&T) this is a much faster device, both in webbrowsing and general usage. Both screens have nearly identical pixel densities though with a smaller screen the iPhone is a bit smoot..other that and Apple's expansive app store, Atrix just eats the iPhone!

thx gsmarena
well done moto
