This is probably the WORST review on GSMARENA. This is not because his various tests were not extensive enough, but because the conclusion of this article failed.
The conclusion killed off the whole article and made me think what was the reason for this review.
I will kindly refer this reviewer to these articles in order to do a better job next time and to probably get some brain.
1. Galaxy S vs Iphone 4 (Score points was employed here to help determine the winner)
2. Optimus 2x vs Galaxy SII (the conclusion was meaningful even though the reviewer still gave the readers chance to make to their own choice)
Anonymous, 16 Jun 2011You guys at GSMArena tried to advertise htc ways too much. I have lost respect of you. How can... moreI really don't get it. Everytime some random guy post on gsmarena's reviews that the editors are somewhat biased towards some company. First was Nokia, then Samsung and now HTC ? I guess there's a new game: gsmarena seasons :)
why does everyone think it was all unfair and like an advertiement for the sensation over the others?! although they DID make it sound better than it is, but it also showed how strong sgs2 actually IS comparing to the sensation...
this is more like a slap on the face of htc sensation which i think is kinda unruly for gsmarena to post. excessive stressing of htc sensation which obviously depicts that samsung galaxy s 2 is the clear winner in this screen head-to-head battle. and why include iphone 4? HTC Sensation vs. Galaxy S II vs. Optimus 2X. i don't see any iphone 4 on the title head.
we all have our own preferences and i guess posting articles like this really draws the attention of the netizens around the world. bravo. pun intended.
How come the Atrix isn't in this comparison?....I have no loyalty to any manufacturer but I have this phone and it's great....good build, great screen, speedy, motoblur not an issue, no gps issue, EXCELLENT BATTERY!!!....best battery life out there at the mo....a very blinkered comparison....naughty reporting. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GSM ARENA.....Still luv ya :)
AnonD-3438, 16 Jun 2011Should've posted the Winner in each category. Just like you did for "IP4 vs SGS battle&qu... morethats what i was looking for i also mailed them before they reviewed sensation that im looking for a review like you did for iphone4 and sgs but look what have they posted is htc fanboy review
EdB, 16 Jun 2011Samsung is the clear winner for speed & screen. HTC is the winner for build quality & ... moreLoL a poor excuse to justfy an expensive gadget :P
But is right, there is not a 100% winner here, every phone has their own strong point and their weakness.
Could we get a battery test on browsing with flash turned off ?? Thats why the iPhone gets 7:40 hours.
You guys at GSMArena tried to advertise htc ways too much. I have lost respect of you. How can you made a review that already had a clear winner like this?
Ways too down.
Hi everyone, and especially guys from GSMArena!
I don't agree with your GPS test between SGSII, Sensation and Optimus 2X. May be you tested broken SGSII? Look at this video:
People must know!
Samsung is the clear winner for speed & screen. HTC is the winner for build quality & UI. It's not exactly slow, just slower than the Samsung & LG at times. LG seems to be as bland as it's UI, not to mention bleeding screens and rebooting issues.
GSMArena didn't include a sunlight eligibility test. HTC Sensation is pretty much unusable outdoors on a bright sunny day.
HTC has the worse camera and battery life(galaxy s2 lasts 2x more!!!). So the result is pretty clear, S2 is the best. ;)
p.s: it was proven that S2 is way better than LG(excluding gaming)
I don't get any clear of view here. At the headline, it is clearly said HTC Sensation VS Galaxy S II VS Optimus 2x. But within this article, there are so many others smartphones compare with these 3 SP mentioned in the title.
And in the last page, iPhone 4, which never compared in previous 6 pages, comes as a winner of battery lifetime battle.
The author needs to focus his/her test only for these 3 smartphone. He/she can include others smartphone in the last part of this article. And he/she needs to make overall test scores for these 3 smartphones. And decides the winner at the end of his/her article. And don't forget to give the reader with market price range the products his/her review.
Yianni, 16 Jun 2011The conclusion was very strange indeed. I'm surprised they didn't pick a clear winner. Obvi... moreCouldn't agree with you more! I think someone in this review tried to favor the Sensation too much! Sad thing is the sensation failed to perform as expected! Ok, so many people were expecting the sensation to blow the SGII out of the water... sorry that didn't happen, and the bottom line is that the Sensation is no match for the SGII!
