Great phone. Powerful inside, sleek and pocketable on the outside. Looks like the ideal successor to my Diamond2. :)
I'm wondering about the texture of the back cover. Black version seems to be matte, rubberized (which I'd like), while red or gold versions look glossy (which I wouldn't like). Anyone can verify this?

At last, a perfect phone for me this is exactly the Android, I have been waiting for. A pocket telephone powerful smartphone with a simple stylish design. Good job SE K700i and W995 was the market leader in my thought this will do it too, I hope! ..

Sony Ericsson and some video reviews claims it is aluminum so I hope GSMarena had a typo or just had a test model in plastic.

nice looking phone but no doubt it will either get delayed or go wrong after a month due to software issues.Sony just put the stock gingerbread on and not your own guff and maybe just maybe youll have a decent phone on your hands.

Avoid and Xperia phones!! Arc and Neo users experiencing issues with wifi disconnections that Sony hasn't addressed or even acknowledged yet. Good chance the Ray will have identical problem! Check xdadevelopers forum and the Sony Support Forum if you doubt me!

I fell in love with this phone at first & thought of buying it coz I dislike big phones, until I discovered it's camera flash is just a useless & annoying light instead of an actual flash. Why SE why ? Neglecting small things like this, i'm sure it affects sales.

Why do you keep saying the Exmor R is 'marginal at best'. I've taken the same shot with friends i-phones and a friends Galaxy S2 and the difference isn't marginal, it's night and day. I've hardly EVER used a flash in a club situation, the Arc is good enough without it.
