AnonD-13383, 07 Sep 2011I have the leaked belle on my nokia n8, and it is quite fast despite it only has a 650mhz cp... moreYour N8 has a GPU, the CPU (same as 701) doesn't handle graphics, only constraint is the limited RAM.
Can't wait for a proper release of Belle for my N8 as well. I heard it's now on par with Android plus all the extra hardware you get from buying a Nokia device. Then it must be better than Android haha...

they should provide full flash support or an updated flashlite. I hope the cpu nd gpu can handle it. Missing many things on web coz of that.

Belle: about time! It's a shame Nokia didn't outsource Symbian sooner, but them's the breaks. The 701 looks like a great smartphone for someone who wants a tidy, multitasking communicator. Nokia's WP7 devices can take on iPhone et al - IMHO the 701 wipes the floor with the mid-range Android and BadaOS handsets.

rajesh, 06 Sep 2011look like htc phoneLike HTC? R u sure or u r confused. As long as Nokia and HTC is concerned, both company never had a single phone that look similar to other brands. Only Samsung and LG like to do that. Like HTC, Nokia sometimes reuse the same design from their previous model. Apple iPhone done that as well since the first iPhone until iPhone 3GS. So, Nokia 701 looks similar to Nokia C7, but not in a million years look like HTC.

RejZoR, 06 Sep 2011It's still a fixed focus camera, making t useless at distance lower than 50cm. You can't even ... morenot true

however, i would still prefer autofocus
but if i have to choose
nokia camera, no af - htc camera - af
i would go for nokia
because you use macro mode maybe 1% of the time
and normal 99% where nokia cameras beat htc, samsung,... (in the same price range, of course)

I think the extra Grill is for the Noise cancellation mic... ( the idea is to have to mics one records what you say and one to capture the noise of your surrounding and subtract it from your conversation ...
