Why when I charge my tab, do I have to switch it off. It won't charge otherwise.

I hook up great close to my router at home, but when I go to the kitchen, a mere 100 feet away at most, I get progressively worse to none at my kitchen table. I have a brand new wireless n router, and I don't think that is the problem.
Any ideas ?

There is a usb connector, very small attachment to the tab and it lets you connect any usb pen drives
Hence making the memory virtually unlimited
I put all my movies in the pen drive and only have apps on the tab.

P.S. The movies plays directly from the Pen Drive, and I use MX video that plays them super smoothly

I had the Ipad 2, I gave it away, and got the Galaxy Tab 10.1, heres why -
You can connect a usb pen drive to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 ( Gtab) with the small usb connector provided in the box, with this you can play movies directly from the pen drive,open documents edit them and save them back to the usb pen drive ( you get the idea ) , all of this is impossible with an ipad.
Secondly you need itunes for every data transfer that you want to do,with the Gtab you can drag and drop files from any Windows Pc without any additional software
Third, the PLS display is far more vibrant, high res, and colorful than the ipads Lcd screen
To me the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is my netbook replacement.

comments here should updated. no mention of the newton ring or the sim problem that users have encountered in their unit... is this a manufacturing defect or the design itself is flawed?

Is there any generic one that does so?? Still it would be more usefull if our service providers stopped screwing us over I believe. I don't know if this is true for all providers, but I know atleast some of them just transfer the data to you..that's it. Yet they do everything in their power to control how much you get and what you can do with it and throw on as many extra charges as possible and its not even their's. This is just insane!

Seriously I am still waiting for an answer and a solution. Therefore I am just repeating again: To my knowledge there is NO compliable application for this tablet “only”, (Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 10.1v ) on the market yet, with which it is possible to monitor your daily, weekly, or monthly the data traffic usage…(& read my previous posts)…

And I didnt realize you were in a nother country. That was soly to the service providers. I'm sorry again to you that you providers are so greedy and hold back on you so much as ours do. Even the unlimited isnt unlimited...except supposedly with sprint. They need to change something. And I still agree it would be a useful app none the less, but Samsung cannot be blamed

Just go to the website of your provider and check your data usuage. If you can't do that again... AS I SAID BEFORE. That would be a fault of your provider. It's not Samsungs fault if your provider does not offer unlimited and does not let you check your usage. If so then then it's worse then I thought and they are royally screwing you over and I feel sorry. But again..Not Samsungs fault. At that rate you might as well say any phone or laptop or computer or any device with internet function is horrible because the producer assumes we all have unlimited internet. Should they limit what you can do and sell this limited one to people saying here you go. This is for those without unlimited internet??

- Can you tell me why!?
- Or can you tell me “please” if there is one, which really works!?
- By the way, why Samsung cannot provide us already a preinstalled App. which could do that job!?
To our crappy Internet connection we have in our beautiful unique country.
Well you know, there are actually only 2 providers & no one of them is providing us with unlimited data plan.
Wifi cool… but the same here, no unlimited data plan existing.
Of course you got a point, to blame our providers for not releasing more data.
But I am also blaming Samsung with its Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 10.1v for being unable to provide a serious & working application to monitor data usage.
(And with me there are 100rds & more which would welcome that).
Please don’t get nervous in case your answering back.. and if so, don’t use abusive language again.
