It looks like Nokia might finally be pulling their heads out of their arses. Belle is what S^3 should have been all along - it took Accenture to bring it about, but better late than never. The WP7 high-end; S^3 midrange; S40/touch low-end vision is coming to fruition.

It remains to be seen if Nokia can regain the #1 position worldwide, but "only" having 3 systems in well-defined price/feature brackets is crucial. IMHO the 701/700/500/501 should be Nokia's ONLY Belle phones for the next 6-12 months; then release of new models, as Apple does. Same for their low-end and flagships: 2 or three models ONLY in each segment and support them well.

50.7 mm width? Nokia should consider ditching the (very) narrow dimension. Using qwerty keypad is a pain with such a slim profile. You wouldn't watch videos on your mobile most all the time right? Try 60.7 mm.! Maybe I'd consider it. =)

Waiting for the 9xx series is just frustrating. A flagship Symbian device is what I want to see.

Too late for Nokia. The Osbourne Effect cannot be stopped. I sold my Symbian and bought the Samsung Galaxy S2 and don't regret it at all. Fast and functional.

        Adios, Nokia.

"It has very high pixel density of around 229 ppi and offers great contrast and very deep blacks"

2 years ago you guys were complaining about the pixel density of Nokia 5530 that is even higher... :P

Nokia 700 is actually third Symbian Nokia whit 1ghz processor - first one was Nokia 500, then 700(or 600, 700 and 701).

Good preview, but your spec sheet is still missing things. 700 has 802.11 n, TV-out, active noise cancellation and USB OTG. Care to add them?
